24.01.2022 Members of the Westonia Rifle Club This Photo was taken some time after WW2.These were the men were thought to be all returned soldiers and were granted land around Westonia, Moorine and Noongaar. As you can see they kept their army issue Lee Enfield .303 rifles. The man in the white shirt centre front is William Sherar. Also in the front row are the Hale brothers and Bill Suitar. The rifle club was a popular pastime for these war veterans to get together - they had little else. If you know any of the men in this photo we would like to hear from you.
