24.01.2022 Expressions of Interest (EOI) are currently open to design and create an iconic public art piece for Penrith's new Regatta Park precinct. The Regatta Park Precinct is a $24 million project funded jointly by the three tiers of government through the City Deal's Western Parkland City Liveability Program. 22.01.2022 Campbelltown Council is caring for rescued native bottle trees, whose forever home will be in the Campbelltown Billabong Parklands when complete in 2022. The Billabong will be an iconic water recreation and tourist attraction at Apex Park, Bradbury, funded through the City Deal.

21.01.2022 Work has begun on a new $1M playground at Glenbrook District Park as part of the City Deal, as seen by Senator Marise Payne and Blue Mountains Mayor Mark Greenhill. The major upgrade, in addition to the junior playground built in 2018, is an inclusive new play space for seven to 12 year olds. It includes a: * 5.4-metre climbing rope tower with tunnel slide * 20-metre double flying fox with two seats including one for smaller children or those needing support... * five additional swings including a multi-person nest swing for those who need back support * two trampolines, one large enough for a wheelchair monkey bars * timber balance trail, and * a range of sensory and imagination-stimulating components. Construction is expected to be finished by the end of January 2021.

13.01.2022 The first slab has been poured on the $60 million Herbarium at the Australian Botanic Garden Mount Annan, a commitment of the City Deal. Once complete, the Herbarium will safeguard a collection of more than 1.4 million botanical specimens.



13.01.2022 The rejuvenation of Springwood Town Centre is about to get underway, with the three levels of government providing over $4.2 million towards the project through the Western Sydney City Deal. The works will take place in stages, starting with new street plantings in November and then an upgrade of pedestrian crossings in January next year.

09.01.2022 South Windsor will look different in the future, as seen by Mayor of Hawkesbury, Councillor Patrick Conolly and Member for Hawkesbury, Robyn Preston. These works are part of an $18 million package as part of the City Deal to revitalise Windsor, Richmond and South Windsor town centres. Tree planting, lighting, seating and places for outdoor dining are planned for this bustling centre.

07.01.2022 Peter Sidegraves MP today joined Camden Mayor Theresa Fedeli and Deputy Mayor Rob Mills today to get a sneak peak of Camden area’s first synthetic football field, at Nott Oval in Narellan, funded through the City Deal.



06.01.2022 Work is progressing apace on the upgrade of the Tahmoor Sportsground to a District level Sporting Complex, a $4.7M project funded by the City Deal. Stage 1 of the adopted Master Plan will deliver: o Relocation of the netball courts, athletics and cricket field o Construction of the first floor of a new centrally located multi-purpose amenities facility ... o New entrance works including a drop off turning circle. 04.01.2022 Here's Liverpool Mayor Wendy Waller checking out progress on the Community Hub, a redevelopment of Phillips Park, Hill Road, Lurnea, a $16.2M Western Sydney City Deal project. Generating more than 40 construction jobs, the Hub is due for completion in August 2021.
