19.01.2022 All, it is with much sadness that we have to share that our wonderful Nanny passed away on Saturday. Nanny, as you know, was a force to be reckoned with. For ea...ch of our gatherings, she spent goodness knows how long baking up a storm - and what an amazing storm she baked up! Her butterfly cakes were truly magnificent and her fruit cakes legendary - and as for her sausage rolls! We are so very grateful to Gary and Sarah for sharing her with our WestProtects family. To Gary, Sarah and family, we are so deeply sorry for your loss. Nanny was so full of vigour and energy, it's hard to believe she's no longer with us. She leaves a great void.

10.01.2022 We hope you are getting into the Christmas spirit and enjoying the gorgeous weather. We've got until 14th December to make our submissions on the clean up of t...he Rozelle Goods Yard. IWC are trying to negotiate a longer time frame as the document is very detailed and the clean up is estimated to take a year (add another for under estimating). We'll let you know if the deadline is extended. Our concerns focus on ensuring effective control of the contaminated soil (asbestos etc), acid sulfate soil, use of Gordon St for 'light vehicles', contamination of the ground water and waterways, noise, vibration, heritage items, disturbance of local fauna (including the bats), air quality: dust emissions, asbestos fibres and air pollution. We're organising a meeting of interested residents to discuss the submission.
