22.01.2022 Did you know that Wests initially originated as the local Campbelltown City Kangaroos Club in 1970? In August of 1974, the Club was renamed Campbelltown City Rugby League Club, with a vision of not only supporting the Campbelltown City Kangaroos Rugby League Football Club but also to encourage community sporting events throughout the local Macarthur region. And now, 46 years later, we have expanded to four venues (fifth on the way), a fantastic team of 300+ staff and contributing millions back into the community each year.

20.01.2022 Wests Group Macarthurs Parma for a Farmer Campaign raises over $15,000 for local farmers Wests Group Macarthur is pleased to announce the results of our Parma for a Farmer campaign having raised $15,152 for Dilly Drought Drive efforts. The campaign ran from January to March and saw $1 from every chicken Schnitzel and Parmigiana sold across Wests venues donated in support of the local farming community. Tony Mathew, CEO of Wests Group Macarthur says, Wests Group wanted to be able to deliver support in a practical and impactful way and are thrilled to be able to contribute to getting farmers back on their feet. We thank our members for getting behind the campaign and helping us to deliver much needed funds to the Dilly Drought Drive.
19.01.2022 Wests Cares Last week, our kitchen team cooked and delivered 56 Meals for the amazing staff working in the Campbelltown Hospital Covid-19 Ward & Emergency Unit With mounting pressure on our hospital system at this time, COVID Emergency Staff have been working extended hours, unable to leave their station until the completion of their shift.... It was our pleasure to make sure they were fed and ready to tackle the challenge Thanks to Kids of Macarthur Health Foundation for inviting us to be involved!
19.01.2022 Keeping our Staff & Patrons safe is our number one priority! From today, Wests Group Macarthur is following the recommended advice issued by the Premier and NSW Health that those within customer-facing roles, such as Hospitality Venues, should wear a mask. Wests Group Macarthur has made it mandatory for all staff in front of house roles to wear a face mask whilst on duty.... You may not be able to tell, but we are happy to see you and still smiling back at you when you walk through our doors!

The Food collection initiative is encouraging donations of long life, tinned and basic pantry food items to be used in take home hampers and food preparation to support the Shining Stars outreach program. Donation Boxes will be available from the reception areas of each Wests Group Macarthur venue for three weeks starting Monday 17th August to Monday 7th September. 18.01.2022 Wests Cares Wests Group Macarthur is thrilled to be able to provide $5,000 in funding to support Mentoring Men, a not for profit organisation which provides a free life mentoring program for adult men in the community. This money will be used to support the expansion and operation of the free mentoring program throughout the Macarthur Region including:... Training to prospective mentors through our professionally run 2-day Mentor Facilitation workshops and also through the Lifeline and Wesley Mission Suicide Prevention workshops. The engagement of health care professionals to perform the intake/assessment of men seeking a mentor in our program and providing ongoing support to our volunteer mentors. Assistance with administration costs for items such as insurances, registration fees and promoting the Mentoring Men program. Thanks to our Chairman Alan Buxton and Board Member Stephen Stewart for presenting Ian and Helen from Mentoring Men with this cheque that will make a huge difference. 15.01.2022 Spread a little Christmas magic Did you know that this year’s giving tree will deliver to children and families most in need in the region, with items donated going directly to families connected to community services in the lead up to Christmas. We are hoping for presents for girls and boys 0-18 years, mums and dads, self-care items as well as items for Christmas day as some families will not even be able to set up a tree for the family this year. ... Times are tough, so a $20 gift is a wonderful gesture. $20 Cash donations can also be made via tills at all Wests Venues for a present to be bought on your behalf. 08.01.2022 $, Wests Group Macarthur has provided local organisation Shining Stars with $6,500 via Club Grants funding towards their Youth Mentoring service, a program dedicated to struggling and or homeless Youth in the Macarthur region. This timely contribution comes around the same time as Homelessness Week 2020 whereby the latest research shows Macarthur is experiencing a homelessness crisis with 2,700 people waiting on social housin...g and nearly 800 people already homeless. Numbers which are expected to increase with Covid-19 pandemic. Co-Founders Lyn and Kylee are supported by a team of volunteers, cooks and outreach workers who deliver services to the most vulnerable in the region. Kylee Bentham from Shining Stars shares, It has been a devastating year with the overall demand for our services busier than ever, so we really do appreciate this support more than ever. Co-Founders Lyn and Kylee, are supported by a team of volunteers, cooks and outreach workers who deliver services to the most vulnerable with the biggest hearts and open arms!... Wests Group is thrilled to be able to support the latest Youth Mentoring service which supports local youth and families struggling in the Macarthur area by providing free meal service, and the purchase of sporting equipment to be used during the mentoring program. #westscares
