22.01.2022 Hi all, Thanks to all the teams that registered their team names. So far we have 17 teams. We are keeping Rego’s open until this Sunday 8 Nov @8pm for any late comers. 18.01.2022 DRAW 02 DEC 20 Remember teams must pay their $100 weekly fee prior to commencing their game. You can pay by bank transfer or cash. All fees must be paid up by 16 Dec 20.

17.01.2022 Hi all, The WTA Committee have made a decision to split the teams into their Grades commencing next week 09 Dec 20. Initially we did the two pools just so we could quickly get the competition up and running after the restrictions lifted and we did not know what level the new teams were.... We have been watching over the last two rounds and are now placing teams in A,B,C Grades based on scores so far, what we have observed and feedback from teams. We know that it might not be perfect but we believe we have got it as close as possible and would appreciate that you all support our decision. Teams that are in A and B Grade are required to supply a referee when requested. Teams will be notified by text on a Monday what games they are to adjudicate. The competition is not sustainable without player referees as we never seem to be able to get non playing referees. They will be paid at their badge level. If you have refereed for us in the last two weeks and haven’t picked up your payments, please see Admin. We also want to advise that WTA will not tolerate bad sportsmanship towards other players or our officials. We promote a safe and friendly environment to play here at Westside and do not want over competitive teams or individual players abusing our Referees or Committee members. This is social touch only !! All the best for the remainder of the season. Uniforms. WTA have been lenient with uniforms so far. After Xmas the rules will apply where 1 point will be awarded for each player not in correct uniform I.e.Matching tops and numbers on the back. A Grade Evolve, Ngati TNT, Sonny’s Blackish, Mains, Footscray Giants, Relationz B Grade Who Knows What, Allsortz, Deadlys, Natural Mystics, Joe’s Refugees, Sonny’s Blue C Grade Sonny’s Storm, Wolfpack, Evolve II, Touch ‘n’ Go, Sonny’s Next Gen. C Grade will get a bye. AGM: Wed 16 Dec. This is also the last game for 2020. Good luck next week.

11.01.2022 CANTEEN is back up and running. Each week there are the standard hot dogs, dim sims etc plus Missy cooks different meals each week like Butter Chicken. It varies. You can pre order before your game and it will be ready for you when you finish. Remember when ordering from the canteen to wear your mask.

10.01.2022 STATE CUP Seniors Thanks to Jadene Kirk, Westside entered two teams plus a few ladies played in the Vic 40s side. Kauriki was doing a great job reffing and Westside supporters were there watching some pretty good touch. Missy and her crowd were also there doing their thing in the kitchen. Well done everyone.

08.01.2022 Hi all, Thanks to the teams who have got their paperwork and deposits or full payment in. We are just waiting on two or three teams. Tonight is your last chance if you want to be in the draw as we start next week. No exceptions.

08.01.2022 Hi all, Some Covid rules Westside have had to put in place starting tonight. Clubroom Entry: Must sign register... Toilet use: Follow signs at clubrooms Canteen: Wear mask when purchasing something Hygiene: Hand sanitiser will be provided at each field. Please use before your games. Balls will be wiped before and after games by referees Team sheets. Every player has to write their name and contact number as a means of contact tracing. This is compulsory and will also act as your sign on sheets to prove how many games you have played. Spectators should remain in their cars or in car parks for a few weeks until we learn more from the Health Industry as we have no means of contact tracing you. 1 Team Contact and 1 Coach are allowed at fields but they must sign team sheet as well. Westside Committee members are on duty so they are allowed at fields because they will have signed the register. Teams should not hang around the fields after games to allow the second timeslot teams to get to their fields. Children are ok but we recommend parents use common sense with the playground equipment etc. Please adhere to these rules so we can continue to play. Don’t be that person who ruins it for everyone.

04.01.2022 It is with great sadness that we advise that Ross McKenna passed away on 3 Jan 2021. Ross was an integral member of the Westside Touch family for over 20 years. He helped build our competition to what it is today through his tireless work on the committee and as a referee and player. He was awarded Life Membership for his contributions and his legacy will continue on through his daughter Kerrie and her family. Ross will be forever in our hearts and memories. RIP Ross. We love you and will miss you forever.

03.01.2022 Hi all, This year because of Covid we had to do things remotely. Thanks for being diligent in getting your paperwork and deposits in. We have 17 teams. Awesome effort. ... There will be two pools. Pool 1 (8) teams, Pool 2 (9) teams. Pool 2 will have a bye. The weekly draw will be posted each Monday night. Timeslots will be 6.20pm and 7.10pm but depending how many referees are available on any given night we may need to use the 8.00pm timeslot from time to time. Thank you to the teams who provided Referees. We will contact you by text as required and you will be paid for your efforts. The Committee has worked extremely hard to get this competition up and running with such a short turnaround. We don’t want ANY teams complaining about what Pool they are in or what Referee has been put on their game. We will have a lot of beginner referees this year and so we ask that you all just be tolerant and grateful that this season can go ahead at all. Plus remember how cheap your team fees are this year. There will be a further post in the next few days about the rules we have had to put in place around Covid restrictions. This will involve things like spectators, clubrooms restrictions, hygiene etc. Thanks again for returning to Westside and we look forward to a very social and friendly season. Team Contacts will receive texts as required if there needs to be further communication.

01.01.2022 NOTICE Team fees must be paid in full by Wed 16 Dec 20. Teams who are not paid up will forfeit their games until its paid. We’ve noticed that teams have people playing for them that aren’t on their team sheets. You can have fill ins but A Grade players cannot play down to B or C grade. If you have swapped teams for any reason you need to have your team sheet amended accordingly. All teams need to be fair to other teams and to the committee that have to deal with the complain...ts. AGM will be on Wed 16th between 1st and 2nd timeslot. Players are reminded that jewellery should be kept to a minimum. Please ensure all necklaces, chains, watches, hooped earrings etc are removed. The President will be posting a link over the next week or so for your team contact to register your players on line. This must be done by Wed 13 Jan 21.
