24.01.2022 It’s been a long time between posts, and we’ve got heaps of new followers, so it’s time for an update! We’ve been busy setting up our new property: fencing, constructing pens, shed-building, renovating the house etc. We’ll make sure we post when various jobs are complete. For now though, we’re excited to get our first ‘rack’ - antlers dropped by our fallow deer buck. He’s finished with them now that breeding season is over. 14.01.2022 We spent the weekend down south collecting some new stock. Fallow deer! They’re a unique animal that we’re looking forward to raising here on our own place. Venison steaks will be on the home menu in no time, and we get to enjoy their cute little faces in the meantime

10.01.2022 Progress!! Phase 1 of our palatial pig pens is complete, and our 3 latest arrivals have moved in. Boris, Bessie and Big Bertha have settled into their new digs (literally). Bertha certainly approves, and the others are happily wallowing after the move. Next job is to prepare the pens for the many little pigs to be weaned in. Adam has put in a lot of hours, and being a beginner welder, we think he’s done a pretty darn good job! Thanks to our team of many helpers too
