25.01.2022 ZOOMing into the next chapter of Solar Car! COVID cant stop us! #EatSleepSolarCarRepeat

25.01.2022 Our team has pulled through every single issue that has faced us so far in the Bridgestone World Solar Challenge. Unfortunately, we have come to a point where we have been pushed off track and forced to call upon the end of our journey. Only 20km out from our next control stop in Barrow Creek, Unlimited 3.0s solar array was taken hold by a gust of wind, lifting the array causing it to act as a sail and spinning the car 180 degrees. Our driver and all of the team remain safe,... however, upon inspection of the car, the damage to our carbon fibre body, suspension and array was too much to be fixed on the road. Despite all our hardships, our team are still sticking it out and we will be trailing down to the finish line in Adelaide in support of the other teams. We would like to thank all our supporters, partners, friends and family, and all the teams who have helped us along the way, we could not get this far without you. Thank you to the Bridgestone World Solar Challenge for giving us this opportunity to participate in such an incredible event. This project is not just about building a car, we are a team with a shared dream and shared passion coming together to achieve something so amazing. Love from Western Sydney Solar Team

21.01.2022 After charging through from the back of the pack all the way through to 8th place we had some setbacks on day two. As we were about to leave the Daly Waters Control stop this morning, we experienced electrical issues, specifically with our motor. This took the team most of the day to solve. As the mercury climbed these were testing times, and our skills, patience and character were really tested, but we kept our spirits high and were able to come up with solutions on the fly. Finally, with an hour left of revving, we were back on the road. If we reach Tennant Creek by midday tomorrow were still in the race! #BWSC19 #eatsleepsolarcarrepeat #westsydsolarteam

04.01.2022 Want to know more about the amazing challenge we dedicate years working towards? Tune into 7 Plus this Sunday for the premiere of Bright Future - the story of the Bridgestone World Solar Challenge

01.01.2022 For the final five days of 2019, were looking back at just a few of our favourite moments from the 2019 Bridgestone World Solar Challenge. It was an emotional... but proud moment to see Western Sydney Solar Team cross the Finish Line. The team carried their car across the line, after a particularly challenging journey from Darwin to Adelaide. They were also one of the many teams who put their time and efforts into helping another team to finish, stopping to help Team Sonnenwagen Aachen fix their car. Despite being a competition, the BWSC Teams will always work together See more
