Each year Diversity Fest events are held across the university and include live performances, artwork, panel discussions, stalls, film screenings and more. This year we are doing thing...s a little differently, with a group of students and staff working together to create an inclusive event online, featuring various awareness and celebration activities, spanning over seven days. We want to provide a place where we can come together and connect through diverse experiences, perspectives and discussion, especially during the current pandemic. 09.01.2022 To ensure international students have access to accurate legal advice during COVID-19, the NSW Government has purchased 50,000 subscriptions of the My Legal Mate app for international students in NSW. The app addresses four legal areas employment, housing, disputes with education providers and sexual assault. The information is provided in multiple languages, delivered in a face-to-face format that is friendly and accessible. 07.01.2022 On Tuesday, a Western Sydney University student tested positive to COVID-19 and are self-isolating. They havent been on campus since March this year. We wish the student all the best for a speedy recovery. This brings the total to seven students and two staff members who have tested positive, in addition to an IELTS candidate. If you experience any symptoms of COVID-19 at any time, even mild symptoms, please seek medical advice immediately. To assist us with supporting you, please remember to let the International College know if you are being tested or if you have been advised to self-isolate due to COVID-19.
