24.01.2022 A while back we applied for a BICON import licence for mushroom cultures and the first ones have arrived from the USA. Particularly looking forward to trialling the Black Pearl King Hybrid, which is a cross of the regular Pearl Oyster with a King Oyster. Im going to need to clone myself soon as we have lots of other varieties on their way

We are hoping this will be a regular occurrence with the legends at ForknFarm and I will be running other courses once I settle on a location (suggestions welcome). We will also have our own affordable grain spawn for sale in the next 2 weeks to help those who want to grow at home.

17.01.2022 One of our locally made Shiitake blocks trialled in the garage in a crate. Over 500g first harvest. Not bad when theyre for sale in local supermarkets for $59 per kg and theyre likely imported and days/weeks old. As well as tasting great Shiitake are used as medicine in Asian countries.

09.01.2022 Our new Coraltooth Lions Mane just emerging. We cloned it we cleaned it twice, we moved it to grain then we tried another grain now we're fruiting on a substrate. It's been an eventful journey but hopefully worth the wait.

09.01.2022 One of our new bigger bags we are trialling, have to turn them on their side for the last 24 hours or they do acrobatics. New substrate and a different way of cutting the bags means they are giving a biological efficiency of 100% on the first flush I.e. 2kg of dried substrate will yield 2kg of mushrooms on the first harvest...mushrooms are amazing
