25.01.2022 Off to Lucindale today for the SETA Singles tournament. A big shout out to all the West juniors that played today in what was very tough conditions (wind, rain and odd bit of sun). With all our juniors showing great sportsmanship. We had some great results with Jess Stutley winning the U14 girls, Emily Jolley coming R/U in the 16 girls and Ella Jolley also coming R/U in the 12 girls.

24.01.2022 COVID-19 UPDATE With the South Australian Government’s announcement of the easing of restrictions, this now allows us to resume the current 2020/21 season. Junior tennis training will resume tonight for E and F grades from 5pm (2nd Dec) and training for A,B,C & D grades will start up again next Monday (7th Dec) with the two sessions C & D grades from 5-6pm and A & B from 6-7pm. Matches will start again this Saturday morning (5th Dec) Juniors starting at 8:30am and seniors... beginning at 1pm. The teams will be on the club room window tonight and posted to the page as soon as we can. The operation of the club now has to slightly change due to some of the government regulations still being in place. We are limited to the amount of people being allowed in the club room at once. We are aiming to have as few as we possibly can inside. The new COVID-safe plan is available in the club on the notice board. A new rule that the government has bought into action from Dec 1st is that the patrons using public spaces must sign in for contact tracing purposes. The club has made two ways possible of doing this. The first is scanning a QR code using your smartphone to be able to sign in to the club, you will need to provide your first and last name and a contact number. There is a picture below of what the clubs QR code looks like. The sheet will also provide instructions on how to use it. If unsure please see a committee member. There are 6 QR code’s around the club for everyone to use to avoid gathering closely in large groups. For those who do not own a smart phone there is a pen and paper version of signing in located at the door of the club. Signing in is a REQUIREMENT of ALL patrons who attend the club. A COVID Marshall will be present at all times at all trainings and matches. The court use guidelines remain in place with ONLY players, coaches and umpires being allowed inside the courts. Players are to ensure that they swap ends at opposite sides of the court from their opponent and to tap racquets instead of shaking hands at the conclusion of matches. If you have any questions or concerns regarding anything above please contact us via the Facebook page.
