22.01.2022 Another batch of our Raptor 3000 Gatic Lid lifters ready to head out the door. These are used for safely cracking Gatic type access covers, they will provide 8 ton of lifting force from only 40kg of force at the handle. See our website for more details!

17.01.2022 WESTURN ENGINEERING CELEBRATES 20 YEARS OF BUSINESS This month, Westurn Engineering is celebrating 20 years of business in the Peel Region. Brian started back in 2000 with a couple of manual machines and just himself to run them. Not even 6 months later, he purchased his first CNC machine and Westurn hired their first employee. Westurn then relocated to Rafferty Road and purchased an additional 4 CNC Machines and had a team of 6 employees, most of whom are still with us toda...y! The next move was to our current premises at Carleton Place, a much larger facility housing 11 machines and a team of 20. It is now time for us to expand again, with our next big move scheduled for next year when we will be relocating to the Peel Business Park. Construction on our new purpose-built facility is due to commence in the next few months and we are eager to see our design come to life. Brian and the team at Westurn would like to say a big thankyou to our wonderful customers and suppliers, without your continued support we would not be where we are today. 17.01.2022 Quick clip of our EDM Wire Cutting machine cutting some custom tooling. This machine is especially useful when working with hardened materials such as this carbide insert, the hardness poses no problem at all for the EDM cutter.

13.01.2022 Employee Appreciation Post We would like to take the opportunity to thank one of Westurn’s longest-serving employees who has been with us for 15 years. Craig started with Westurn in 2005 as an apprentice CNC machinist and has been a dedicated member of our team ever since. We would like to thank you, Craig, for being such a valuable member of our team and look forward to working with you for many more years to come.

03.01.2022 Great to have our local federal MP Andrew Hastie in the office recently, to show him our brand new Creaform 3D scanner. This is an exciting new project for us, which has received grant funding from the Australian Government’s Manufacturing Modernisation Fund.
