12.01.2022 Tank Cave VR Experience - another first With caving diving making the news world over, first with the Thai Cave Rescue and, more recently, Australian caver & OZ...Tek speaker, Ryan Kaczkowski, discovering the globally significant collection of ancient bones in Tank Cave, Mount Gambier SA John Dalla-Zuanna and Wayne Johnson, long time members of the notorious Wetmules and regular cave divers, felt everyone ought to experience cave diving at least once. At OZTek2019, for the first time, come and dive a piece of Mount Gambier’s Tank Cave virtually John & Wayne have reconstructed a dive into Tank Cave, and you can don a headset and dive there too! The Cave ‘immersion’ will take approximately 3 5 minutes fly through a section of Tank Cave, looking up, down and around. Experience the ‘space’ in 3D, move around, walk up and down the ‘corridor’ and see all the incredible cave features Technically a first, this is one cave dive you don’t need to watch from the side lines. For more information on Ryan, John and Wayne and all our incredible speakers go to: https://oztek.com.au/The-Speakers Tickets now available: https://oztek.com.au/OZTek2019-Ticket-Information

01.01.2022 Pearse Resurgence 2020 - The Quest Continues Onsite 11-23rd Feb 2020 After a long break, the Wetmules and friends returned to the Pearse to continue the search for the connection to Nettlebed Cave. The usual suspects Craig Challen,Richard Harris, John Dalla-Zuanna, and Luke Nelson made up the dive team. While Dave Bardi, Sandy Varin and Kieran Mackay worked the Nettlebed side. Bruce Clulow from Christchurch is an old mate of the Mules and provided considerable support. Dave Apperley made his big comeback to the site after an absence of nearly 13 years. Dr Simon Mitchell from Auckland joined us in a medical support and photographic role. Anthony Honeybone from Christchurch joined us, and finally but most importantly, Phil Cooper from Melbourne was the camp cook! An unstoppable team. :-)
