05.01.2022 Recently I treated a female patient in wheelers hill melbourne who has had knee OA pain for the last 4 years and getting worse for the last 12 months. When she came in her knee was a pain level 10/10. She had difficulty walking without pain. Her knee functioning was limited. I did a session of shockwave treatment on her knee. The next week her knee pain was down to a 4 out of 10. That is down to less than half the pain in a week. We were both thrilled with the results. Often ...the pain in arthritis is due to the adhesions that form in the joint rather than the actual joint degradation. The mechanism of action with shockwave is a bumping/knocking action. This is focused and modulated to the intensity the patient can tolerate. The energy waves break up adhesions in the joint, break up scar tissue, stimulate the production of lubricin and increase the metabolic activity in the joint. 03.01.2022 Heel Pain Again! This is one of the most bothersome conditions that can simply put make it painful to walk. I imagine you have tried lots of things already.... You may been given special exercises to do. You may have been sold expensive orthotics and promised the world. But you are still in pain. Unacceptable. I have treated many patients with Heel pain.
