19.01.2022 Did you know Whale Sharks are as mysterious as they are amazing? Despite years of research only one pregnant whale shark has every been recorded and very few juvenile whale sharks have ever been seen. Their lifespan is estimated to be between 70 and 180 years and though there have been numerous claims of sightings of individuals reaching over 14 metres and weighing at least 30 tonnes; the largest confirmed shark is 12.65 metres & 21.5 tonnes. Not bad considering they start their way in the world at pretty much the same length as a human baby - between 40 to 60 centimetres!

18.01.2022 NAME THE PLANE COMPETITION!! WIN A WHALE SHARK TOUR! It’s time to welcome the latest member of the crew, the only problem is we don’t have a name yet?! For your... second chance before the season to win a Whale Shark snorkel for one adult send in your name for our little yellow plane. Our favourite name wins! In the past we have utilised the services of Norwest Air Work for the supply of our aircraft. In the last two years we have hired a plane for exclusive use with great success. We take this opportunity to thank Rollo and his crew, past and present, for their services and helping us find the biggest fish in the sea. It is time to move on and forward. Our aim is to keep providing a great service to our clients and run our operation in a more sustainable manner. In consultation with our supplier a lot of research was done into types of aircraft suitable for the job. The Aeroprakt A22LS was the clear winner and aside from its economy and environmental credentials, its visibility is almost scary making it perfect for finding whale sharks. We also welcome Tiff and Penny to the crew and when they are not doing other duties they will be up in the air. Both are experienced spotters and have no trouble finding whale sharks. The combination is sure to be a welcome addition to what we do and will ensure the best results for our guests as we go in search of the whale sharks. So, get your imaginations going and comment below your 'name for the plane' for a chance to come swim with the big spotty fish..

15.01.2022 Chance Encounter!! This once in a lifetime image was captured yesterday during our tour. Whilst swimming with the whale shark a humpback appeared from the deep ...clearly under the impression he had the right of way!! In Australian waters it is not legal to purposely swim with Humpback Whales but this chance encounter was too good not to share. Full regulations regarding interaction and whales can be found on the departments website www.dec.wa.gov.au
