16.01.2022 *** Possible TRIGGER WARNING *** Trigger Warning "A grown man looms behind my three-year-old daughter. Occasionally he will poke or tickle her and she responds by shrinking. Smaller and smaller with each unwanted advance. I imagine her trying to become slight enough to slip out of her booster seat and slide under the table....Continue reading

08.01.2022 this is a friendly reminder that if you can’t get out of bed today that’s okay and if you feel like crying on public transportation that’s okay and if you got a bad mark on a test that’s okay because there are still so many forests to explore and cities to get lost in and dogs to pet and you are only a small star in a big universe and you are doing so well. Sending positive thoughts and support to everyone who is struggling today , your not alone ~Millie

03.01.2022 I didn't write this, but I feel its important to share!! ~Millie For the exhausted woman who showers a few minutes longer to cry with the water...... For the person hidden in the bathroom, because she needs a few minutes of tranquility while slipping tears from her eyes. For the woman who is so tired that she feels she can't continue, that she would give anything to feel like herself again... For the woman who cries in her room when everyone leaves the house and for a moment she let's go... For the woman who desperately battles with self Confidence when wearing denim pants because she wants to look pretty and wear them to feel better but everything just climbs over or can't close... For the woman who orders pizza for dinner because she didn’t have the time to make dinner again as she expected... Because she's tired. For the woman who feels alone, even when she's accompanied. You're worth a lot. You are important. You are enough. You are wonderful... I love you... PLEASE SHARE This post might just save a life.

02.01.2022 This is where bullying can lead!! ~Millie Story:... The 15-year old kid who did this to my sweet, kind-hearted nephew has been bullying him for nearly a year - relentlessly. Yesterday, the bully, accompanied by at least two companions, attacked my nephew from behind. This attack was unprovoked. My nephew is such a gentle soul. He's one of the neatest kids you will ever meet, and everyone who knows him adores him. He'd give you the shirt off his back and his last dollar and never ask for anything in return. He's a 12-year old with the work ethic of a man who lived during the Great Depression. The kid wouldn't hurt a soul. But, for some unknown reason, this bully has decided to target this sweet child. His physical wounds will heal, and if you ask him 'he's fine', but it absolutely breaks my heart when I think about the emotional scars that will remain long after he heals physically. Not to mention those of his younger brother who witnessed the attack and now feels extreme guilt for not being able to help his big brother. Please talk to your kids. Talk to them about kindness and love. And, if you find that you're raising the sort of asshat that would do something like this to someone, take action before something like this happens!!! This post is so rambling. I've re-written it multiple times. I want it to be a wake-up call. I want it to be meaningful. I want it to generate healthy discussion about how we can all be more kind to one another. I hope I accomplished some of that. ~Millie <3
