19.01.2022 We all need some magic in our lives, especially at the moment. Our worm friends are here to help. We think theyre magical. Most of the magic happens in their g...uts, and the cast that comes out: magic shit. Literally. - They create humus, the sweet dark water- and nutrient- holding stuff that makes soil soil. - They proliferate plant-relevant microbes. What goes in is different to what comes out in both species composition and volume. - They kill pathogens like E. coli. - Worm poo is many times higher in plant-available nutrients than surrounding soil. - Not only does it have nutrients, worm poo also has many other compounds (thanks to both the worm and the microbes it has) which help plants thrive - like enzymes and growth-stimulating hormones. - Worms can even help remediate heavy metal contamination! The great thing is, you can have this magic in your garden, hooray! A couple of months ago we talked about some things you might do to help worms in the ground. Now its time to talk about having your own worm farm! Keep an eye here for more tips coming your way :)

16.01.2022 Reposted from another page but absolutely shares my sentiments. We are addressing all flower consumers today. We love flowers, we keep our optimism and want to keep this joy for all those who cross this period. Self isolation is the message sent by the authorities. We each have to act responsibly to stop the spread of the virus.... We use this time to rest, for our loved ones, to prepare ourselves further and to enjoy the little things that surround us. The seasons will neither postponed nor cancelled by the state of emergency. Nature takes its natural course, birds are heard even from the window of our apartments, trees bloom and flowers...... flowers can be good therapy. The presence of flowers in any room generates immediate and long lasting positive emotions on our soul states. The reactions, the good mood, the positive way we treat those around us, can be influenced by the presence of flowers. If there are flowers and plants in our homes, the stress levels are dropping, the air in the room clears and the dust levels are reduced. Moreover, the colors and smell of flowers have positive effects on our mood. Lets help ourselves with flowers during this period as a cure for our souls! We can still order them online or by phone from the flower shop we usually call - For us, for our mothers who are good to stay in the house, for a friend whose anniversary is now, for any close or acquaintance to whom, more than ever, during this period, we want to show appreciation and thank That it exists in our lives! United, calm, responsible and hopeful, lets take care of each other, help each other and we will overcome this period well, which could be a great lesson we learn together!

12.01.2022 Hello fellow Florists and designers and cut flower enthusiasts. . I am re-posting this for Allison who is the new owner for the Flowers magazine. This is a wonderful opportunity to support a magazine with great content that informs, educates and keeps us all up to date. The new trade directory of all flower suppliers, florist sundry suppliers, growers, market agents etc. alone will make it invaluable. This is a big step forward for our industry. -----------------------...---------------------------------------------------- My name is Allison, I have recently taken over the design and publishing of the flower industry magazine - Flowers. www.flowersmagazine.com.au This is our plan to save the Magazine If you are an active paid subscriber (formerly Flowers Australia), we will honour your existing membership. We have simplified the subscription model of the magazine. Its now only $9.95 per issue, auto-renew, cancel anytime. We have re-designed the look, feel and content of the Magazine and website and intend to grow this with new advertisers, content providers and you, the subscribers. We are also launching a new, comprehensive trade directory for our entire industry - free to subscribers of the Magazine. It will be available online and in print. Growers, Wholesalers, Industry Suppliers, Florists and more. Freely distributed copies will unfortunately cease to continue. Please subscribe to ensure you continue to receive the magazine and stay informed. Bulk orders are available at a wholesale rate. We need your support right now to keep our Industry Magazine viable. 12.01.2022 This year Australian grown roses are terribly scarce. Imported blooms may have been stored for many days or even weeks prior to Valentines day, so this information is as relevant as ever. Have a Happy Valentines day everyone.
