17.01.2022 Now that October is here I thought I better give an update on Trick or Treating this year. I've been discussing with the Covid hotline about Trick or Treating ...running this year within the restrictions. Under the current restriction the official recommendation is to not allow trick or treating this year. I’m not willing to give up that easily though on the 19th of October (or sooner hopefully) restrictions could change. So we are all hoping for that but we are also preparing idea’s for a contact-less trick or treating. We will also be running a best dressed house competition and possibly the best dressed family prize. (accepting local businesses donations). 13.01.2022 LOCH SPORT A GREAT PLACE TO VISIT AN EVEN BETTER PLACE TO LIVE The Loch Sport Boat Club is a small family boating club established in 1965 We welcome you to our Club which is situated at the Charlies Street Boat Ramp Car park past the Caravan park at Loch Sport on the shores of Lake Victoria on the Gippsland Lakes.... The club has an active Calendar of events and Social program with Boaties Bar open weekly and special events like Presentation Nights and New Year’s Eve with great views of the fireworks from the club deck. Members set out in both power and sail boats on our overnight cruises and picnics The club is an Australian Sailing training centre with very favourable fees for certificate courses over holiday time and Saturday morning practice days. All members are covered by Insurance by Australian Sailing for all activities at the club. The members Race Sailing crafts of all types including trailerable yachts, Catamarans, Dinghies with social events after the race. An annual Cat Challenge in November and in April Lake Victoria Challenge, a long distance race, just 2 special events welcoming all sailors. 11.01.2022 Expressions of interest.... After such a horrible year we’ve had with bush fires at the start of the year and Covid putting a hold on things, we thought it was ...a good time to start up our over night rides again before the weather gets to hot! So just seeing how much interest we get and then we will put some dates out there once we know that this something you guys would be interested in. So our overnight rides we are wanting to do will be over two nights, so the first day we meet at the yards and head to camp, second day will be full of riding and third day will be half day ride and then driving home. So these rides are completely catered for, on our horses all you would need to bring is your swag and any alcohol you would like for around the camp fire. We will be camping around the native dog area which you will get the chance to see hopefully plenty of brumbies so cameras are a must! These rides would be run during the week and The cost of this will be $650pp. Or We also have planned a three day ride around the Native dog area, so again plenty of brumbies to be seen, during the week for smaller groups. Again this will be fully catered for and will be three full days of riding. The cost of this ride will be $800pp
