19.01.2022 Oh wow! Sam Wood you’ve done it again! This is my new favourite Dahl recipe. I made it on a whim, (because hubby isn’t here and he HATES legumes and because of yesterday’s extravaganza I thought I’d better eat something healthy), so I didn’t have the vegetables to hand but just defrosted a few chunks of spinach and tossed them in with the lentils. You should have smelled the spices cooking with the garlic, onions and ginger- soo good! Tasted great too and what i loved, though others may not, is that some of the lentils were soft and mushy snd others were still a bit al dente rather than crunchy, so it was a varied texture.

11.01.2022 Chicken Teriyaki (TM6) - We’ve had this before with rice but it is just fantastic with soba noodles and a handful of cashews added to each serve. Quite quick and easy if you get the prep done first then start cooking. Next time will add some baby corn

08.01.2022 Ooh yum, we’ll be having this again! Another of Sam Wood’s recipes - Turkey Rissoles and Kale Slaw. I liked the contrast of the textures of the rissoles and the slaw and the contrast of the tastes, with the slaw dressing being quite tart and the rissoles gently tasting of Thai red curry paste.
