19.01.2022 What's on.... Hi everyone, I’d like to invite you to my book club for foodlovers Love food, reading about it, and talking about it? I’m launching BITE book club in Coffs Harbour on October 3. The aim is to gather like-minded foodlovers to talk about a food-related book of the month - and all things food-related.... Book of the Month for October is an Australian new release, The Ethical Omnivore by Laura Dalrymple and Grant Hilliard, owners of Feather and Bone butchery in Marrickville, NSW. These suppliers' ethos is whole animal farming and nose to tail food supply and cooking. The Ethical Omnivore encourages you to ask the right questions of who sells you meat and the labels you read. Learn how and why it's important to cook something other than the same old cuts of chicken or meat, besides varying your meals. Book Club is free, but you need to purchase your own book. You can purchase the book from Book Warehouse in Coffs Harbour, or online from Amazon. I hope to see you there! Please book via the link below for numbers. Bookings essential: https://bite-book-club-october.eventbrite.com.au DATE: Saturday, October 3, 2020 TIME: 11AM approx. 1.5 hr discussion VENUE: Dark Arts Cafe Cox Lane, Coffs Harbour (in arcade opp. C.EX Club) See more

In fact, you don't even have to leave home, making it the ultimate Covid-safe activity! To take part all you need is 20 minutes and your favourite outdoor space. Not only will you be contributing to BirdLife Australia's knowledge of Aussie birds, but there are also some great prizes on offer. Head over to the Aussie Backyard Bird Count website and register as a Counter today! https://aussiebirdcount.org.au/ The yearly bird count gives us a snapshot in time of bird numbers around the nation so if you’ve participated before and are raring to go remember the app doesn’t kick in until the count begins on 19 October (one month to go!). #AussieBirdCount #whatsonlocallyaustralia See more
