Housing an astonishing array of Australiana and a collection o...f sight and sound history, machinery and just about everything else, you could spend a day there. THE HOLTERMANN COLLECTION - Gulgong is arguably the best documented town in country NSW. The famous photographs were taken and collated by Charles Bayliss and Beaufoy Merlin. You can also see these photos at the Pioneers Museum. History is a wonderful thing and should be viewed and shared by all. The Museum has always been appreciated by young and old. It is run by a team of local volunteers who hold a wealth of knowledge about our local history. So many folk seem to have connections to Gulgong going right back to the 1800s.
