23.01.2022 Hurlstone and Macquarie Field’s captains have come together to create a new youth writing and creative arts competition called What's the Youth? aiming to elevate young and genuine voices and minds in both the written and visual form. The competition is open to all high school students in the Greater Sydney region and submission is 100% free! Better yet, your entry puts you in the running to win $20, $50 and $100 dollar Westfields gift cards as well as publication in a zin...e collection of curated pieces from the competition. (Plus, writing competition wins can look great on uni and job applications!) So, from those of you speaking out on your individual perspectives on what is important to you and your communities though think pieces and journaling, to those of you expressing your creative and imaginative notions of the world though fiction or photography, we want to hear about what your youth is about! While we are focusing on youth voices, there is no set theme, so, whether you create in your free time, or just have a bunch of creatives and personal essays written for school, you might as well enter, there is nothing to lose! Entries close September 28th at 11:59pm. https://goo.gl/forms/51h7yHJCiAQumcUB2
