15.01.2022 This term marks the end of a very long association between the Benz family and Wheatvale SS. Jacob (pictured) the youngest of 4 children to go through our school, is completing his last term before heading to high school. Jacob and the team at Wheatvale have certainly gone on a journey together over the years. Jacob was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes during Year 1. Since then there have been many phone calls shared and many eventful scenarios successfully tackled to ensure a ...successful schooling experience for Jacob. To commemorate all of the above, Megan has come up with a great fundraising idea! We will be donating Jacob’s current hair do to be shaved off, at a time to be advised later in the term, and are calling for people to sponsor Jacob and raise money to be shared between JDRF to assist with Type 1 Diabetes research and Wheatvale SS to assist in supporting our students with needs. This is a great cause and we encourage anybody willing and able to donate to please contact Wheatvale SS. If we raise enough money a certain Principal may also go under the clippers! See more

03.01.2022 Chat With Charlie Afternoons! To say 2020 has been a year like no other is obviously an understatement! Many changes in school land has left us all, at home and at school feeling alone at times and also disconnected due to the lack of interaction COVID has enforced. To assist, here at school I am starting a ‘Chat With Charlie’ afternoon after school at COLA in a COVID safe environment where I will bring the biscuits, you can bring the topics! There will be no agendas, no min...utes, just a chance for us adults to get together and chat about anything you wish. School, politics, rain, sport- whatever you would like! Our first afternoon will be next Monday @ 3.15. If you would like to attend please enter via the gate at COLA and sit on the chairs that will be set up. Unfortunately, to be ‘COVID compliant’, no students will be able to attend. See more
