25.01.2022 A great morning at the Australia Day breakfast - a little different this year of course, attended across several locations. Great work by the Gawler Apex Club and Town of Gawler for putting it together, supported by many volunteers from service clubs across the community.
20.01.2022 Roundabouts can be tricky business, do you know when to indicate? https://samotor.raa.com.au/6-roundabout-rules-explained/

17.01.2022 Do you know an L plate or P plate driver? Make sure they know the rules about mobile phones and avoid a $604 fine.

13.01.2022 A local learner driver program is back up and running after the COVID-19 pandemic.
11.01.2022 Very grateful for Tony Piccolo's continued support of the WIM program. We are back to work, looking forward to seeing the WIM vehicle on the roads. WIM are always on the lookout for Mentors... Our Learner drivers and their families are extremely appreciative for any time our Mentors can provide, we don't ask for a commitment, each week looks different. The joy when they get their P's, the opportunities that are opened to them when gaining a licence are just a couple of reasons we do what we do. 07.01.2022 Think you know the road rules? Are you *sure* your knowledge is up to date? Follow our series of Road Rules Refresher posts for the next 5 days then take our quiz at the end. You might be surprised! Today's refresher is about signalling on roundabouts. https://youtu.be/_zdwvLXT8WQ
05.01.2022 Given the present situation and the need to review all non-essential services we have decided effective immediately to suspend Wheels in Motion until May. This decision has not been made lightly We will continually monitor the situation and the resumption will be guided by information from the Parliament and Health Services The website and Facebook page are being updated, and we will be in contact with our current participants when Wheels in Motion is able to resume.... Stay healthy, WIM Team
05.01.2022 What does it mean at this time for learner drivers now that the Hazard Perception Test (HPT) has been temporarily suspended as a precaution due to risks and con...cerns of COVID-19? All learner drivers are currently exempt from the requirement to complete a HPT before progressing to a Provisional Drivers Licence as a result of COVID-19. The same exemption is available to those that live on Kangaroo Island and those that live more than 100km from a facility that conducts the test. The exemption is available to all learner drivers as long as they have completed all other requirements (including the final practical driving test, log book hours and the minimum time on a learner's permit). No other testing requirement are exempted.
03.01.2022 Important question for Learner drivers travelling interstate
02.01.2022 Come down to Bunnings at Gawler Green and pick up a sausage & onion in bread. Funds raised today go to support Wheels In Motion Gawler, our local community program helping youth get their Probationary licence and break the barriers to employment.
01.01.2022 The Wheels in Motion team wish all the Participants, Mentors and Supporters all the very best for Easter. We know many of you are doing it tough and Easter will be especially hard as you may not get to see your friends and relatives as we would normally do at this time of the year. We encourage you all to stay safe and remain positive. Wheels in Motion will return as soon as possible.
