19.01.2022 See you soon folks...

18.01.2022 In December we recorded 6 tunes at Love Hz Studios with the hugely talented Michael Carpenter at the helm. We did it live as a 5-piece and finished off recording and mixing at various studios over the next couple of months. The result is The Robot EP: all set to be launched in style at LazyBones Lounge MarrickvilleMarrickville on April 16. https://www.facebook.com/events/1055092637890079/ Check out the title tune here on Soundcloud, produced by the band and Nat Love https://soundcloud.com/whensaturdaycomesband/robot

16.01.2022 We're playing a set this Thursday night at the Mercantile in the Rocks. Make mine a Guinness and see you there.

14.01.2022 Hey! Yes, we have been resurrected for our one and only show of 2018. See the zombie band defy all expectations by not destroying Chris Muir's modern tales of RSLs, robots and redemption. Be early, we on first then back to the tomb.

14.01.2022 So, the first 20 through the door on Saturday night get 2 free CDs! What's not to love?

12.01.2022 For those anti-Monkees people among us, I present Mr Robert Forster. (For those unfamiliar with his work, he's a Go-Between. For those unfamiliar with their genius, get familiar!). We won't be playing any Monkees tunes this Friday at the Gasoline Pony, but their spirit will be with us. (From The 10 Rules Of Rock)

12.01.2022 See you tonight folks!

11.01.2022 Exciting news: When Saturday Comes returns tomorrow for its one and only gig of 2017, supporting the excellent Foxman, featuring Phil Foxman of Supernaught fame. Perfect way to forget the godawful weather. Were on at 5pm. See you there! The Captain Cook Hotel 162 Flinders Street, Paddington, New South Wales 2021

10.01.2022 When Saturday comes play as a four piece at The Gasoline Pony Marrickville Friday March 4. Low-key warm up gig for our EP launch gig on April 16 at LazyBones Lounge nearby. We might see you there...

10.01.2022 Mr John Kaldor seen here recently in The Lab adding superb pedal steel to one of the tracks on our EP. Little-known fact: not only are the hands involved, there are also 7(?) levers operated with the feet & knees for semitones & other mysterious musicisms I know nothing about. Genius!!

06.01.2022 Thankyou so much from the band to everyone who came last night to our EP launch at LazyBones Lounge Marrickville. We had a blast and it was brilliant to see so many friendly faces out there supporting us and getting into it. We hope you enjoyed as much as us and that you dig the EP. Photos and videos from the night to follow here soon... In case you missed us, or just can't get enough of When Saturday Comes, we're playing again at The Merc in the Rocks on Thursday May 5.

01.01.2022 Hateful arguments, ultimatums, and tearful shouting matches... (That's the opening line of the press release for our debut EP, which we launch this Saturday LazyBones Lounge Marrickville. Comments welcome...) Hateful arguments, ultimatums, and tearful shouting matches. Most bands start bickering and arguing after a long... period on the road but not so with When Saturday Comes. This group actively disliked each other from the day they met, but the band was forged after disgruntled acknowledgements that individual members had talent, and collectively something promising might be created. In the past year, narcissistic tendencies have been managed, perfectionistic behaviors have been endured, self-assured steadfast musical preferences have been aired and outright bickering has prevailed. Overcoming 13 individual threats to leave the band, the group has surprised doubters and is set to release an EP. Long suffering friends have described the tense process as possibly worse than the recording of Fleetwood Macs Rumours album (but without the drug abuse and only a sliver of sexual tension). So what is the result of this tortured collusion? A 6-track collection of pop, alt country, and new wave. The title track isnt really about a robot its a domestic melodrama in four verses. A deceptively simple tune that builds over its 4 minutes. Theres an alt-country feel to a song about being the king of the local RSL (Due For A Win); and a tub-thumper called Gotta Move In. Theres a new-wavy take on lost love (Make You Happy), and an English 60s pop flavour in Alchemy. The EP ends with the punchy When Saturday Comes. This group collaborates for the music. Check them out and decide for yourself if its been worth it. Release date: April 16, 2016 For more information, email [email protected] See more

01.01.2022 Four sleeps till When Saturday Comes return for their farewell 2016 gig. Don't miss it!

01.01.2022 When Friday came... Thanks to everyone who came to The Gasoline Pony Marrickville last night to see us and Rough Church all the way from downtown LA. A tasty little teaser for the main event, our EP launch on Saturday April 16 at LazyBones Lounge Marrickville. We're quite excited about it. See you then! WSC
