25.01.2022 I am so sorry folks, as from today (24th October) we have reached our Covid Attendance Limit under guidelines set by NSW Health. IF GUIDELINES CHANGE WITHIN THE NEXT WEEK AND WE ARE PERMITTED TO INCREASE OUR NUMBERS (as per the latest news reports), please contact Gary Traynor via email [email protected] or check this Facebook page for further information regarding vacancies.

23.01.2022 COMPUTER SKILLS NEEDED .... Can anybody out there please superimpose this old photo on top of a modern Google Earth image?

22.01.2022 I am sorry to say that our attendance numbers are VERY LIMITED due to Covid-19 restrictions. Everybody who has fully informed us that they ARE GOING on this Facebook page have been contacted. PLEASE NOTE: Just saying that you are "interested" does not mean that you have been added to the attendance list. If you have NOT been issued with a "Covid Attendance Number" by way of email from Volunteer Organiser Gary Traynor, then you are not registered with NSW Health for this event.... Please contact Gary Traynor on email:- [email protected] if you have any inquiries or wish to know if your name has been registered or you have not received your Covid Attendance Number. PLEASE ALSO NOTE that if you miss out on this tour, there will be another tour close to ANZAC Day 2021. The Moruya Remembers Committee thank you for your kind understanding (we are all simply volunteers, doing the very best we can at this difficult time under Covid) See more

16.01.2022 Hello all people intending to visit the Bunkers Tour. Wing Commander Garth ANDREWS RAAF (Keynote speaker) just messaged and indicated that he does not care if it is just him and his kids who turn up to listen to his speech .... he is coming rain, hail or shine. He will be here at 11am. Bugler David WILLIS (Australian Army Bugler) is also coming in a seperate vehicle from Canberra. That is good old fashioned Military Leadership and strength that we can follow!!!! SO UNFORTU...NATELY FOLKS, WE WILL NEED TO POSTPONE THE 10am TOUR & SAUSAGE SIZZLE ..... BUT WILL PROCEED with a 12pm Service. WE WILL CONDUCT A 12PM SERVICE and dodge the rain showers as they come. If anybody wishes to join our wonderful Bugler and Wing Commander ANDREWS at the Moruya Cemetery at 3.07pm (the moment the plane crashed and six young airmen lost their lives) then I encourage you to attend. PLEASE NOTE. 10am TOUR and sausage sizzle is cancelled. 12pm Commemorative Service will proceed!!!! See more

15.01.2022 The Dutch flag flying proudly .... approximately 78 years after its aircraft flew over Moruya township.

12.01.2022 75th Anniversary of the fatal air crash of Avro Anson EG.446 at Mullenderrie, North Moruya on 1st November 1945. This event was the basis of a Free Bunkers Tour of the RAAF concrete structures around Moruya Racecourse.

10.01.2022 This photograph was taken way back on ANZAC Day 2008 .... a pity it is a little blurred, but it shows Moruya's last Kokoda veteran - Owen Baskett who served with the 3rd Battalion ..... marching proudly beside visiting Kokoda Trail resident Cletus Wagiha from Oivi Village who proudly carried the flag of Papua New Guinea. Cletus Wagiha is still leading people across the Kokoda Trail. Thanks for sharing this with us Cletus.

09.01.2022 Gus Winckel and the No. 18 Netherlands East Indies Air Force was remembered yesterday on the 75th Anniversary of VP Day.

09.01.2022 We are so sorry .... but COVID has restricted our numbers and this tour is fully booked. If you have not received a Personal Covid Attendance Number for this November event .... We will be taking bookings for April 2021 after the 1st November.

07.01.2022 Matt from 'The Fix' Coffee will be on hand at the Free Bunkers Tour, to ensure that we are well hydrated before and during the event. He will be setting up at our starting point so that you can all grab a "fix" whilst we go through the process of recording temperatures circa 9.30am .... and will be selling coffee and cold drinks at the lunchtime commemorative event. Thanks so much Matt for supporting our event.
