24.01.2022 I am unable to find much information about the Mortimer Bay Reserve, where this image was taken. "It is currently being used for a range of recreational activities by local residents and visitors. These include walking, jogging, mountain biking, dog exercise, horse riding and accessing Gorringas Beach. The reserve is currently an off lead exercise area for the dogs." Along with North Stradbroke and South Stradbroke islands, Moreton Island forms the eastern boundary of Moreton Baya large, shallow, biologically diverse expanse of water. 18.01.2022 This image is of the Kuranda Scenic Railway train which travels between Cairns and the small town of Kuranda in the far north Queensland region. 13.01.2022 This is an image of Whitehaven Beach in the Whitsundays Islands in Queensland. What a stunning view from the sky. "Whitehaven Beach is a definite "must-see" in the Whitsundays. The crystal clear aqua waters and pristine silica sand of Whitehaven stretch over seven kilometres along Whitsunday Island, the largest of the 74 islands in the Whitsundays. 13.01.2022 This is an image of Mt Borradaile, Arnhemland in the Northern Territory. Such a fascinating place, with much beauty, wonderful stories and art. "The Northern Territory is laden with Aboriginal rock art, from Central Australia to the Top End, ancient art sites abound. Many sites have interpretive signage which tell Dreamtime stories associated with these fascinating paintings, drawings and petroglyphs (rock carvings), however if you take an organised tour with a local indigenous guide you will gain an insight into one of the world's oldest living cultures dating back more than 50,000 years. 12.01.2022 These large rocks can be found at The Hazards, Coles Bay, Tasmania. "By the early nineteenth century whalers and sealers were well established on both Freycinet Peninsula and Schouten Island. From this time the settlement of the area was largely restricted to adventurers and near-hermits. It was Silas Cole, a lonely lime burner who collected the shells from the Aboriginal middens and burnt them for lime, who gave the town its name. 10.01.2022 This image is of Nudey Beach on Fitzroy Island in Queensland. Despite the name of this beach ... it's not what you think. "At Fitzroy Island, it’s all about rainforest, beaches and high reaches, with just as much to explore on land as in the sea. Explore the bush walking tracks throughout the island, like the Lighthouse and Summit walks, with views all the way to the Barrier Reef. 07.01.2022 How amazing does this image taken on Fraser Island in Queensland look? I have not been there, but it's definitely on the bucket list. "Fraser Island is the world's largest sand island and an area of remarkable natural beauty. It was listed as a World Heritage Area in 1992 to recognise the island's internationally significant natural features: evolving dune, lake, soil and forest systems, the extent and age of which are outstanding examples of ongoing geological and biological processes [ 170 more words. ] http://whereinaustralia.com.au/fraser-island-queensland/
