24.01.2022 After a brutal 43 degree day it's time to get a room for the night and tonight it is in Warm in. A hick little town with not much going on. The restaurant shuts at 6.30 then your on your own. Looks like an early night.

23.01.2022 Have a look at this big fella, they must have spent some time making it, if you get up to Wyndham you'll find it the town centre.

20.01.2022 Here are a couple of pics I forgot.

15.01.2022 Open road in Northern Territory.

15.01.2022 An early start hitting the road at 5.15 with 5 degrees, it got to 13 by the time i got to Norseman. The rest of the day was relaxing finally stopping at Balladonia , where is a museum for the crashing of parts of Sky Lab many years ago. Next was Mundrabilla for the night. One shot is as you come into Madura.

14.01.2022 Had a great day moving from Mundrabilla I saw the sunrise at 5am, and by the way if you don't have to stay there then don't, the air crisp but an enjoyable 11 degrees that rose to 26 degrees. Moving on i stopped at one the many places to check out The Great Australian Bight then to the Nullabor then Ceduna, the ocean is a beautiful blue but not much to do there, then finally Kimba for the night. Total ride was 904klms.

13.01.2022 Here we are in beautiful Dampier about 20 minutes outside Karratha. Today me and my mate who I've become very fond of (my shadow) travelled another 857 klms but the gods were with us and it only got to 36 degrees, a far cry from what I have been experiencing. I forgot to mention Cable Beach, what a lovely spot. Hope you like the pics.

13.01.2022 Arrived in Perth an hour ago and now getting new tyres and oil change. I'll feel a lot better for the rest of the trip home.

13.01.2022 Well today was another hard day in the saddle and even with 43 degrees showing I saw some great places, Geikie Gorge was great, a lovely spot to go for a boat tour or just wonder around and check out the scenery. Another thing to see is the Prison Boab tree in Darby, it is hollow inside with a split on one side so the coppers could house their prisoners for the night.

10.01.2022 Today was great riding day, I left Dampier at 5.30 with a brisk 18 degrees so for the first few hours it stayed around 24 then rose to 31 and didn't get any warmer. Some of the open landscape heading south is breathtaking that just disappears into the horizon, you need to see it yourself because photos doesn't do it justice. The Billabong Hotel is a great place to stay but don't get it confused with the place next door also called Billabong Roadhouse.

07.01.2022 Friday, Heading out of Perth down No1 Hwy to Albany was fun, just out of Bridgetown the road becomes a great one for riders corner after corner after corner the a small town appears called Manjimup and down to Denmark, about 200 klms of twisty roads. I thought Albany would be my stop over but it wasn't so I decided to go to Esperance, in total 1026klms. Sorry no photos of the road, it was too much fun to stop. The lights you see are the city of Perth from where I was staying, amazing.

03.01.2022 Traveling from Kathrine to Timber Creek is a great ride but be aware of the wild life, this morning a cow fell over in front of me in the middle of the road, she looked as if to say what are you looking at. After Timber Creek some of the surrounding landscape is spectular.35klms east of Kurunurra is the turn off to Lake Argile follow the road in for 34klms and you arrive at the caravan park and the lake, it's worth a visit. The Boab tree is a familiar site up this way.

02.01.2022 Well this morning I woke up in my own bed, after two exhausting days leaving Kimba SA at 3am dodging Kangaroos and other creatures of the night I made it to a Melbourne very late that night. Later the next day (yesterday) i was so elated to see the NSW border sign, knowing I was on the home stretch, a number of hrs later I rolled into my garage with my lovely wife patiently waiting for me, so with a shower and wine it was time to take a well earned breather. With nearly 16000 klms traveled and one day off in Cairns it's been a journey I'll never forget.
