18.01.2022 Mi goering was my favourite uni student food so this amped up, homemade version was totally irresistible! There's a smoked whole Japanese eggplant under the noodles and of course it's finished with a fried egg, the favourite protein of anyone on a student budget! What was your favourite poor uni student feed?

18.01.2022 Bibimbap. Because my client wanted to cook something she'd never eaten before and was up for stepping outside her comfort zone a little. We had such fun making all the elements and while it's not a quick dish, it's by no means difficult! I'd also never cooked bibimbap before, so consulted my fave @recipe_tin because I knew she'd have the goods, and she did! If you're looking for a new mini lockdown project, this should be your next one.

16.01.2022 When I started Whipped Up two and a half years ago, I wrote a back up plan in my official business plan. I truly had NO idea my little idea would take off the way it has, and I especially did not expect to collect a phenomenal team along the way! Kat, Brooke, Suzi, Bryce and Tess, I'm so lucky not just to have you guys on my team, but also in my life. Merry Christmas from the Whipped Up team to all our gorgeous clients, their families and of course our social media followe...rs (who I'm still convinced are mostly just my mum's friends). May it be covid free and filled with delicious food.

12.01.2022 We've made it half way through stage four, Melbourne! Just like you all, we're really feeling it at team Whipped Up, but there's nothing like a tart to create the tiniest bit of joy in your day. We love blueberry frangipane at HQ, what's your favourite tart filling?

12.01.2022 With the extra hours stuck at home (because even those of us working are housebound on the weekends), it's definitely the perfect time to tackle a recipe you've put off because it's "too time consuming". My recipe of choice? Beef bourguignon. Often deemed "too fiddly", this French beef stew might need a little attention initially but it is worth it when you sit down to devour it with a good bit of bread on the side. What are you going to tackle this week?

08.01.2022 It can be so hard to motivate yourself to cook when your mood is low. Right now, like many others across Melbourne, mine is very low so there's been a lot of toast in my life. I managed this in my slow cooker yesterday because I wasn't just cooking for myself. I enlisted a friend to engage in a meal swap - I did these sticky short ribs in my slow cooker and he will be making a goat curry in return. We still have two weeks left of stage four and we are all exhausted (and very ...over going for bloody walks with friends as the only outside interactions!). Perhaps you aren't up for cooking at all, and that's ok. Maybe you can swap puzzles or craft supplies with a close by friend? Find something small to bring even the tiniest spark of joy. And do NOT feel guilty about smashing an entire tub of ice cream in one sitting. Melbourne, you deserve it!
