24.01.2022 There’s some new kids on the block! Heifers arrived last week to help process this year’s super abundant feed. They will be processing it into soil carbon using high stock density, high grass utilisation and 9-12 months recovery (worked out how long works here by doing some trials.) A couple of years ago this particular paddock was flogged out from constant high wallaby and sheep pressure. 18 months of the different management and we have high water infiltration and loads of dense, diverse perennial feed. The heifers came from a set stocked situation but are quietly getting used to being moved along and being up close with their mates.

23.01.2022 Thanks Morag for creating this Resilience Care Pack

21.01.2022 Landline recently featured work being done in Tassie to keep stock and nutrient out of waterways. They showcased a project I instigated with the Cluan-Westbury Landcare group on my children's family farm when the older children were toddlers.....it was pretty epic with 3 kiddies under 19 months but they learnt to plant trees young and stay out of the creek - mostly........I can still see them now, in their colourful waterproof overalls, gumboots and beanies falling over their eyes. Happy days. My legacy on the farm for them. Meg and Jemma have a chat. They come in at about 10:20 minutes. Even Boof, Henry's legend dog stars. Somehow Fergus dodged the camera! https://www.abc.net.au//river-rehab:-protecting-t/12304198

19.01.2022 The time has come. We will have sides of beef for sale in a couple of weeks. The 20 month old steers have been raised using regenerative grazing practices. They have had a wonderful life with their childhood buddies, moving on to fresh grass 2-3 times a day, fantastic views and the gentle life.... $15/kg for sides of approximately 60kg. Fill your freezer for winter or share with a friend. Place an order now before they all sell. [email protected] or 0429931640

19.01.2022 I love that what I am doing here is proven to be scalable - from micro mobs like this to hundreds/thousands of herbivores. No excuses

17.01.2022 The wonderful Hannah and Anton are offering weekly free online sessions! Thanks!

16.01.2022 I've just done this course. It provides deep understanding and action to create the regenerative outcomes I'm aiming for.

14.01.2022 A bit worried. They haven't been gone this long before. They could walk back to my place but there's a lot of fences for them to get through between here and there.........this hasn't been a problem in the past but.......

13.01.2022 Would anyone like a day or 2 of paid gardening here? Tomorrow and/or Saturday?

07.01.2022 Tonight 7pm......launch of ebook version of this amazing book!

06.01.2022 Today we walked and talked regenerative grazing. Anita and her family are starting their regenerative farming journey and came to see how we are managing our cows, our infrastructure and pastures. More tours to come in the next week! Message me if you'd like to come along.

04.01.2022 This is the grazing system we are using here on Whistlers Ridge. And it's working. We did water infiltration comparisons between the paddocks that have been managed with regenerative grazing vs set stocked vs tilled and resown. Regen grazed took 17 seconds to infiltrate. Set stocked took 4 min 42 secs. Tilled and resown took 6 minutes plus. All areas had full ground cover. Speaks for itself really

03.01.2022 As regenerative farmers who must stay profitable, we won't be missing this workshop series!

03.01.2022 Beautiful visitor! Lethal though. Eaten 2 ducks and a chook in the last couples of weeks.
