04.01.2022 EOI's CLOSED THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ALL THE INTEREST! AUDITIONS NOTICE: Dead Skin by Laneikka Denne. Dir. Kim Hardwick. KXT April 2nd - 17th 2021... Audition Date: Wednesday 27th January Open to actors of all backgrounds and ethnicities. Written at the tender age of seventeen, Dead Skin is a hybrid text of queer and hetero "love" stories that challenge what it truly means to love and be loved at seventeen. It is a coming-of-age story of a mother and daughter navigating the toxicity of their own relationships, in search of that thing we will never have with any other human, the truest form of love; an inherent, maternal connection. Rehearsals will commence in February. Please prepare two contemporary monologues (no more than two minutes long) for the following roles: HENRY - All ethnicities - late thirties/early forties - a charmy smarmy. ANDREA - All ethnicities - late twenties/early thirties - a powerful force, maternal, raw. AUDREY - All ethnicities - early twenties - the unconventional bimbo (a fully formed three dimensional female character that breaks the stereotype of the cool girl because she wasn’t written by a man) Please send your CV, headshots and if possible, some showreel/footage your work with the email heading DEADSKIN CASTING - (FULL NAME) to [email protected] Cheers you beauts! Can’t wait to meet you x
