17.01.2022 Happy Lover’s Day y’all May your love be deep, your commitment eternal and your lockdown short via @madelineanne_stylist

15.01.2022 ADVICE Your venue should be one of the first vendors booked, as most aspects depend on the space and location. You can then also determine any travel fees before booking a vendor.

14.01.2022 PLANNING We all know a 'Wedding Day Contingency Plan' is vital. But the truth is, planning starts so far out we can only assume how the day will turn out until much closer to. If the last few days have taught us Victorians anything - it's that our climate can be unpredictable! If ANY aspect of your day will be outdoors, you should think about some of the below... HEAT WAVE ... What will you do if your summer wedding ends up being a scorcher? How will you keep your guests cool and hydrated - particularly the elderly? Is there an option for guests to move out of the sun? FIRE RISK All too close to home for some 2019-2020 couples; bushfires are something you MUST have a plan in place for, if your venue is in a rural/bushfire prone area. Unless you are on a private property, your venue should already have a plan in place. Don't hesitate to ask about this prior to the day, particularly if conditions are looking adverse. Ensure you have a fire app and turn on notifications for the area a couple of weeks in advance. Wedding insurance is also something to consider. WINDY DAY How will you prevent your gorgeous decor from blowing away? Is your marquee or tent secure enough to stay standing if the wind picks up? Does the celebrant have a suitable microphone to be heard above the wind? Are the bridesmaids dresses likely to blow up (or splits blowing open? ) How could this be prevented? RAINY DAY Do you have a back up for that stunning lakeside ceremony if the heavens open? Have you thought about if you'll move indoors for your photos? Ensure you discuss wet weather plans with your photographer well in advance. Do you have an umbrella (one that won't ruin your photos)? What about the bridal party? If your gown has a train, does it bustle? LOTS to think about - I KNOW!! Having a list such as the above will be super helpful when you've got 101 other things on your mind. Stay tuned as we will dive deeper into some solutions soon.

14.01.2022 VENUES Venue hunting? We think we may have just found The One for you... The striking architecture of Zonzo Estate's Cappella makes it one of the Yarra Valley's ideal ceremony locations for the modern Melbourne bride and groom. Its sleek black exterior makes a statement against the rolling landscape of the property. Upon entering, you will be greeted with a stunning floor to ceiling window at the end of the aisle. The Cappella is fitted out with high end finishes such as p...olished concrete floors and timber interior which provides guests with a warm welcome. To top it all off, the large glass doors fully open one side of the building to perfect the indoor/outdoor appeal of a warm summer's day. In addition, the main reception space has breathtaking views and a moody Italian countryside vibe. Zonzo is a venue to be truly appreciated by architecture enthusiasts, or the modern couple alike. via Zonzo Estate @zonzoestate @danbrannanphoto

10.01.2022 GOWNS What’s most important to you when selecting your wedding gown? Is it a figure flattering cut? Is it budget? A dramatic train? Something you can boogie all night long in? Or an on trend style? For me it was DEFINITELY comfort! Have you purchased your dress yet? Let us know in the comments below! : @rimearodaky slaying as usual with another effortless gown

09.01.2022 STYLING Any nothin’ a lil mood lighting can’t fix! If you want to cosy up a cold ceremony or reception space, group pillar candles of different sizes, at varying heights. They are one of the cheapest, easiest ways to instantly soften a room. Create various heights with unexpected items such as these industrial breeze blocks! Ps. Be sure to ok them first with your venue, as you may need to house them in glass votives to protect the venue : @totheaisleaustralia
