Caleb earned the Lake View Hotel Player of the Match with an excellent Super Over, making 7 not out of three balls to see us home! The Second XI went down in their clash, making 73 all out chasing Strathfieldsaye’s 6/167. Zac Poole was the pick... of the bowlers with 2/21 off 7 overs and Tom Dunham top scored in an innings that included 6 ducks!! 13.01.2022 WEEKLY UPDATE - You’ve just got to love reading Monday’s back page when it looks like this. All senior teams had wins, while the club claimed 5 wins out of 8 matches. First XI - Gavin Bowles was the hero, making his 13th century on his way to 114 not out. He received great support from Rhys Irwin(59) in the teams total of 3-215. Eaglehawk came close, but an even bowling and fielding performance saw them fall 10 runs short. Rhys (1-32) and Eli Pearce (1-45), in his first game..., were the top bowlers. The win took us to 5th on the ladder with four wins, while it also ended a seven year drought against Eaglehawk. Second XI - After piling on 5-186, the bowlers backed up the performance by restricting the Burra to 6-159. Earlier, Kyle Patten was outstanding, making 86. Ollie Geary and Xavier Dunham took two wickets each. Third XI - The top team produced a performance that backed their ladder position. Liam Christensen was dominant taking 4-18, helping to bowl out Eaglehawk for 81. Jordan Lea(56no of 31 balls) and Tom Harper(24) reached the target without the loss of a wicket and after facing only 13.5 overs. Fourth XI - The Demons were victors by 32 runs. We set Kangaroo Flat a total of 9-145, with Max McMurray top scoring with 63 not out. Callum Stewart then claimed 3-15. Under 18s - Wow! What a performance! After smashing 6-148 we then bowled out the Burra for just 39. Nick Wallace dominated with the bat, making 74 not out, while Liam Ladiges was just as dominant with the ball, claiming 3-9. Under 14s - Unfortunately our unbeaten run has been broken, going down to Sandhurst by 20 runs. Ollie McMurray(36) and Kyle McClellan(24) were the top scorers in the total of 3-143. The wickets were shared among six individual wicket takers. Under 12 Red - Marong claimed victory, winning by 22 runs. In the total of 8-96, Ari Sawyer was top scorer with 17. Owen Best and Zoe Cail each took a wicket. Under 12 Black - Unfortunately we also went down by 22 runs in the clash against Bendigo, after setting the target of 4-59. Caden Jardine (9no and 1 wicket) and Sophie O’Connell (8no and 1 wicket) both had great all round games.

11.01.2022 All the best to one of our players and loyal sponsors Josh Julius from Julius Racing who has Super Girl running in his hometown cup in Warrnambool tomorrow. On behalf of the club we wish you all the best
11.01.2022 Unfortunately results didn't go our way this weekend in the First XI and U/16 semi finals. The First XI fought hard yesterday to restrict Strathdale to 173, with co-coach Rhys Irwin leading the way with 6 for 45 off 24 overs. The catching of the team was a real highlight. Today Captain Mitch Winter-Irving played an outstanding knock, making 70 off 124 balls. However unfortunately we fell 37 runs short in the run chase. In the U/16 final, batting first we made 110, however Ben...digo United batted well today to chase the total three wickets down. Jack Barras claimed 2 wickets while Letesha Bawden took 1. We're incredibly proud of our players and also our supporters who showed out in force over the weekend. We'll be back bigger and better next season!
