Last year 23.6 million flower stems were imported in the three weeks before Mothers Day- Thats approximately 55% of the flowers sold in Australia. This year imports in the 3 weeks before Mothers Day were down 58% on 2019. YES flowers are easily transported from Overseas- China, South Africa, Colombia. Did you know ALL the flowers you buy from our store are grown on the Sunshine Coast and 90% of them are from our farm in Woombye. The Australia Flower Association has been trying for years for flowers to be marked as imported and still the government has not implemented this. If the flowers are cheap....question where they are coming from.
