13.01.2022 Some big changes coming in 2021. With 2020 almost over I'm sure I'm not the only one glad to see it gone. From covid delays and interruptions to personal hardships 2020 has been a roller-coaster, I've struggled to remain on track with both orders and business related issues.... 2021 brings change in a big way with a more production based business design coming into play. Custom orders will be capped at 3-5 orders a month depending on complexity with the remainder of the month making inventory to sell both online and through local outlets. Thank you for all those who have supported this business and the family behind it these past few years, I'm both proud and excited for the future and what it brings.
12.01.2022 It's officially finished!!! The biggest blade to date, this 16" Cow Carver is a sight to behold. Unfortunately this is the second blade as the first cracked.... Blade is forged from 15n20 High Carbon steel with a forged finish left on the spine and upper blade face. The handle is a mix of carbon fibre, g10 spacers, desert ironwood and red dyed burl with internal pins locating each piece. This blade also has a handmade leather sheath to protect the blade which is made from veg tanned leather and has a hand stamped design. Both blade and sheath are laser engraved with the customers nickname, can't wait to make another.

08.01.2022 Take 2 haha. Some of you may remember this blade from a while back or its brother that broke anyway. Well here is the 16" carver 2.0 blade at 240grit ready to go up to 600grit Satin finish then into the handle once more.... Stay tuned for the finished product coming very soon...
06.01.2022 Newest build complete. This latest pig sticker has an 8 inch blade from 14c28n with a 600grit satin finish. The handle is made in house and features 2 tones of green on black g10 liners and stainless pins.... This blade is accompanied by my 3rd leather sheath, This one features a simple weave pattern and small details around the edge to finish.
03.01.2022 3 more blades moved out this week. We have 2 trimmings and a carver which are all available at Three Hogs Smoking. First is the Carver with a 7" blade and ringed gidgee handle.... Second is a trimming with a 5" blade and featuring the same ringed gidgee timber. The third is a trimming also 5" and features one of my own blocks cast here in the shop with red mallee burl and multiple layers of resin to create an effect that both stands out and looks amazing. All blades are 15n20 HC finished to 600grit satin and are razor sharp. All can be found at Three Hogs Smoking in Maryborough.
02.01.2022 Latest axe build is complete. This new design has come up a treat, blade/body is 4mm 14c28n Stainless Steel. Handle is our own in house creation, first layer is white and glows blue both under black light and at night.... The second layer is a semi transparent Blue that is fluro under black light as a cool feature. See more
