18.01.2022 Happy Australia Day, thought I would share yesterdays ventures with you. We just completed another broadband connection and setup for some great clients in Hele...nsvale. Just off River Links Drive. On my initial visit to have a look at the home I didn't have a look out back. I had missed the fact that we had a nice little wooded area at the rear as they lived on the outside border of the estate. I had assumed it was like the rest of the estate and had a free and clear range and would be able to hit Mount Tamborine with no issue. When we did the configuration of the antenna the day before and registered the address I found out our dilemma, silly me. I thought to myself oh well, let's have a look anyway as the google earth footage is a few years old and the trees maybe gone now. I found on the day we were dealing with a single line of trees with two major branches in the way. I was 50/50 on whether it would work as every job we had done thus far has had a perfect clear view. I was blown away that even with the trees in the way we had full signal. Discussing all of this with the client I asked permission to try it before we say "give up" as it all looked really good on the roof. We did. It awesome, not only did it do exactly the speeds the clients had committed too but it did it with out fail. Regardless of the trees, wind etc. we spent many hours vigorously hammering the data but it just did the job in its sleep. I'm so blown away and in awe of what we have been able to achieve so far in our community. Here are some great pictures showing the stages and what we were competing with. Please note one of the speed tests listed, the existing ADSL had a maximum speed of just on 1mb down and 0.18mb up speed.
