15.01.2022 R U OK is such an important day for us at Whitelion. Not only do we check in on our young people today, this is a conversation we as youth workers have daily. Today we had Daniel Dee and our prac student Cat run a stall at Aveley Secondary college. Daria collaborated with Annie from the City of Swan along with some volunteer young people from the Youth Leadership Group who assisted with a stall at Ballajura Community College. ... This week at Drop in, we made some stress balls, had a sing along and the young people provided some of their tips on how they look after their mental health. It’s okay to not be okay! Whitelion supported North Metro Youth Justice with a community event at our Balga office.
