It’s an exciting time for the organisation and for people living with disability, who will now be able to access support from the White Oak team. While this may be new program for White Oak, it is by no means new territory. White Oak will be delivering daily living, wellbeing and nursing support to the Perth metropolitan area and has already seen a jump in demand for its services. The organisation has undergone significant growth over the past few years, starting as a small, local operator in Joondalup, White Oak is now in five (5) locations across Perth (including a newly opened hub in Claremont) and also has a presence in the recently opened ANZAC House in Perth’s CBD. It aims to increase public awareness, understanding and acceptance of people with disability and celebrate their achievements and contributions. The Australian Government has been supporting IDPwD since 1996 and provides funds to promote and raise awareness of the day around Australia.... The theme for IDPwD 2020 is Building Back Better: toward a disability-inclusive, accessible and sustainable post COVID-19 World.
