22.01.2022 Sorry for the delay in results posting today. The results have now been processed. We have tokens 39, 49 and 50 missing. Please check your pockets to see if they have hitchhiked home with you. We had 65 runners and walkers today, almost double our average number, with lots of new faces. Thank you for coming to check us out, we hope to see you again soon.... Remember we can longer celebrate milestones during the briefing due to covid but if you send us a message we can make you feel special here. Have a fantastic rest of your weekend.

22.01.2022 Hi All, We are looking forward to seeing you all tomorrow for NYD parkrun. Under the COVID framework there are some changes and I have highlighted them in recent posts. Please make sure you check this page for the latest information.... First up is our course, it hasn’t changed but due to a reduced brief time, I wanted to include it here for new runners or a reminder to anyone that may like a reminder. Basically once you start (and we will be there for that bit) start running in the direction I point you in, keep running. Turn if you see a parkrun sign (in the direction it points to) or if you see a parkrun volunteer in a hi-vis vest. When you get to the finish, I’ll be there to tell you to stop. There’s a map below, if you’re that way inclined. The signs and volunteers points (that is where you turn) are marked.

Event number 167 20th February 2021 This week 33 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 11 were first timers and 5 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 4 different clubs took part. The event was made possible by 9 volunteers: Rowan Brett HERBST Narelle Christine HERBST David BOWDEN Colin CHARMAN Leanne ADDISON Anita PEREIRA Alicia PARSONS Donna DICKENSON Natasha JONES Today's full results and a complete event history can be found on the White Rock parkrun Results Page. The female record is held by Katherine SWORDS who recorded a time of 20:56 on 24th March 2018 (event number 57). The male record is held by Aidan HOBBS who recorded a time of 15:51 on 26th May 2018 (event number 66). The Age Grade course record is held by Aidan HOBBS who recorded 81.81% (15:51) on 26th May 2018 (event number 66). White Rock parkrun started on 4th March 2017. Since then 1,929 participants have completed 6,476 parkruns covering a total distance of 32,380 km, including 1,001 new Personal Bests. A total of 279 individuals have volunteered 1,942 times.

19.01.2022 Who’s coming to parkrun on Saturday? Some things are the same and some are a little different under our COVID framework SAME... - WR is a conservation area, so no dogs are permitted. - please bring your own water. - toilets are at the bottom carpark and are long drops. The course is the same, please don’t leave the paths and check out the post from earlier today. - please bring your barcode. No barcode, no time. -kids under 11 must run with an adult DIFFERENT - we must social distance. Self seed as much as possible at the start. - no high fives or spitting. - show your barcode to the scanner from a distance. - we will have an abbreviated run brief. If you have a milestone to share, let the RD know and we will announce it on Social Media. - read and comply with the Walker and Runner Code & the Volunteer Code. - check in using the QR code or the link below

Now we all know how important our volunteers are and that parkrun cannot happen without them. This week we need... 18.01.2022 All parkrun events in Australia and New Zealand have been suspended with immediate effect due to the ongoing COVID-19 (Coronavirus) situation. At this stage we have cancelled events up to the end of March. Please follow our communications channels for ongoing updates. parkrun’s global position is published and will be updated here. Finally, remaining active is incredibly important, and we are working on ways to encourage and support that, however please do not arrange group... gatherings at your parkrun venues whilst parkrun events are suspended.
