05.01.2022 There can be a lot of waiting to get that perfect Mt Yotei day, but a chosen few get the goods. This day back in 2018 was just that, fresh snow, low winds, blue skies, great crew, and photographer/guide @mbrookes27 on hand to get the snaps. Getting that dream line we all imagine when looking at Yoteizan from Hirafu village, just priceless. I'm about ready to kayak back over from Australia for another taste of this!

04.01.2022 It's a Saturday, but conditions on Hokkaido's tallest peak are prime. Deep, fresh and dry snow, no wind, crystals in the trees. Expecting crowds we rally the troops early, and our exit strategy from van to lift line is like a well oiled machine... kitted up and passes sorted in 10mins. We're up front, and our favourite lines are looking great. We opt to hike straight away... to go for that one epic, fresh line. We normally like a nice relaxed approach to pow hunting... but today, the hustle was well worth it. A beautiful sunset caps the day... an onsen awaits.
