24.01.2022 6 important Facebook stats for right now: 1. Ads are cheaper than before. CPMs (Cost Per Thousand Impressions) are roughly half the price they were in Nov 2019. Meaning: If you can advertise right now, you will get more bang for your buck. 2. CPC (cost per click) is also cheaper than before. For some industries as much as 22%. Meaning: See above.... 3. CTR (Click Through Rate) has declined, around 15% - 20%. We're all engaging with organic content more at this time... Meaning: Now is the time to push organic content together with paid - with the right strategy to show even more social proof than before (we've got tricks for this...) 4. Ad Spend Budgets are decreasing - particularly in accommodation, obviously. See points 1, 2, & 3. 5. So you can imagine how excited I am about blending the two together using augmented reality! It's a new service that we are offering - and it's got INCREDIBLE potential for all sorts of industries and applications.... So what happens is you send out a printed piece, and we link a video to it. The recipient scans an image on the piece with your branded app, and a video automatically starts on their phone. Plus you can green-screen, incorporate 3D models, and move your phone away from the image - the video will continue on no matter what. AND you can have share buttons to you socials, plus a call to action at the end - like a Call Now, or Go To Our Website ... It's sort of endless. With punchy, hand-drawn illustrations, and bold emotional messages which made his business stand out in a very technical, traditional industry.... And he was beyond happy. So heres how we did it, with our normal process, and why we always get it right. FIRST We interviewed the CEO to get the essence of the company - what REALLY made them different. It's all about the detail, the nitty-gritty. And it turned out to be their tenacity, progressiveness, and their ability to save their clients SERIOUS time through automations. So we weaved that into the design and messaging. THEN We developed a style built around hand-drawn illustrations and icons - completely custom, no-one else will EVER have these. And they are totally memorable. Because it takes anywhere from between 5 - 30 touchpoints before a customer will engage, so it's super important to stand out. Creating content is VITAL at the moment, in my opinion anyway. ... BUT if you're having problems getting your words just right, here are some guidelines that have really helped us. - nothing is as urgent as what is happening right now across the board. ' ' (and same for imagery - if you are using photography, make sure it follows the rules) . . Especially for Facebook ads, where words like 'covid' 'coronovirus' and 'pandemic' will mean disapproved campaigns. . Words like ' advantage', 'profit' 'gain' used in inappropriate contexts. '', '' ''. Follow your instinct. If you read it back, aloud, and wince ever so slightly, then rework it.

08.01.2022 Know your audience. It's what I, and any marketer worth their salt, have been saying for ever and ever. What's happening at the moment though, is that the audience is changing. Their work habits are changing, their family habits are changing, their social habits are changing. So the audience that we used to think we knew? Well, they are probably different now. Now, there's a chance to change.... So there are three questions all businesses should be asking to see if NOW is the chance to change: 1 >> ---How can we help our customers during this crisis? 2 >> ---Do customers actually want to hear from us at the moment? 3 >> ---If they are open to hearing from us, how do they want to do so? The challenge, and I feel it myself, wanting to make sure that all my personal communications AND our business messages are on-point, is walking the fine line between tone deafness and helpfulness. 06.01.2022 Look at your newsfeeds .... you scroll, scroll, scroll, scroll, scroll, scroll ... until something makes you stop !! The image, the colour, the offer, the movement, the rawness ..... What is the science that interrupts your feed, that makes you stop scrolling and start engaging? More importantly, what is the thing that makes your CUSTOMERS stop and start engaging.... Generally, the science of online ads is this: the image/video will make you look first, followed by the head...line, and then, if you still want to know more, the copy.... but it's definitely a mix of everything. Something that we always do in our agency is testing. Test different colours, different image compositions, different flat-lay creations - test it all out. More and more, we yearn for human connection - and to that end, as an audience we are far more selective about the content that we engage with.... We want content that has a personal touch, Real stories. Ads that don't really look like ads. Test it out - do some polished content or ads, and test them against raw, unedited pieces. Understanding the language of your target audience - very important. Having a clear comprehension of how a problem is solved - tick that one too.... But the only question that matters? 'What's in it for me?' Your audience doesn't care that you understand all that other stuff. They only want to know the outcome, for them. The grid tool is no longer available Ad images will now fit into one of four different classifications: OK, low, medium, high There are exceptions to the rule, like infographics, book & album covers .... Things to note: There's a little more 'creative license' to squeeze in a tiny bit of text if you need The change means that things are just a little more vague - there's no 'hard and fast' rule, which there was with the grid tool.
