He says every one of us is a child, Every one of us is ancient, Every one of us has a body. He says everyone of us is frightened. He says every one of us has to find a way to live with fear. He says everything is alive - shells, buildings, people, fish mountains, trees. Wood is alive. Water is alive. Everything has its own life. Everything lives inside us. He says live with the world inside you. He says it doesn’t matter if you draw, or write books. It doesn’t matter if saw wood, or catch fish. It doesn’t matter if you sit at home and stare at the ants on your verandah Or the shadows or the trees and grasses in your garden. It matters that you care. It matters that you feel. 18.01.2022 On spending time in India recently, I was taken by many things. The spirit and the commitment to spirituality. The celebration, the ritual, the community coming together each day - multiple times a day - in ceremony, honouring god and eachother. I was struck by the women. What was it about them? Firstly, their regard for me; an open, mutual honouring of what it is to be a woman. We swam together without clothing; we prayed together surrounded in all the things women are - lay...ers of colours, adornment, children, babies, gossip, laughter. But the thing I was really touched by was the essence of embodiment these women have. They were embodied in a way that I noticed deeply lacking in the western world - the connection to their bodies. Sensual but not sexual. Comfortable in their own skin. Acceptance of the imperfect as what is. It was beautiful. As though their skin hung heavy but soft on their bones, leaning them into the earth. Less sense of separation between eachother and perhaps less separation from the All. Wearing clothing that lets you relax, without holding yourself tightly, without feeling uncomfortable or self-conscious is an act of self love. Feeling happy and connected to your body keeps you grounded and confident. The White Yoga range has styles and fit to compliment all the different body/beauty types. It is my dream that these styles support us women to feel comfortable in ourselves and shine.
