The sign was handmade & painted back in the 90s by Barry Clohessy, where it hung in store for over 25 years before being rescued by Shane Younger who worked in the store for 28 years, who now owns Seasport Tackle Jurien Bay, who kindly donated to us. 04.01.2022 MATES RATES SALE UPDATE As you all know (& as you've all been asking!), we thought we'd put a little something on our socials to keep you all updated. If you work in any retail store that stock any sort of imported goods, or even when you go shopping, personally or virtually, you'll notice that a large impact on stores has been stock issues. I'm proud to say that our team has put in a phenomenal effort and we are on top of most issues. ... Every year we have mentioned to you all the work that goes into our Mates Rates Sale, & that we usually plan 6 months + in advance. 6 months ago would be best described as chaos worldwide, and then the following months put restrictions on every day life. We didn't even know whether the shop would be able to stay open, let alone plan our incredible sale. We plan with suppliers across the country, we set up demonstrations and give you the opportunity to liaise with manufactures and sales representatives, that teamed with our unbeatable prices (when we say up to 80% off, we mean it!), free raffles, free sausage sizzle & drink... we get HUGE traffic coming through, from near and far. We don't want to tarnish the reputation that our sale has established, so for this year, especially with the current state of affairs, we feel it's only responsible for us to postpone our Mates Rates Sale, and come back even bigger and better next year. BUT BUT BUT, we won't leave you completely hanging! We are overwhelmed with the support we have received over the past few months.
