25.01.2022 Well folks, we definitely fared a lot better than I initially expected with cyclone Debbie, and are pleased to advise that the tour will be up and running again this coming Wednesday, 12 April. We gained access to our tour site on Glen Isla Road on 1 April, after flood waters finally receded. My wife, Jacqui, and my two youngest children, Josie and Joshua, were helping me to chainsaw our way through the tree debris littering the access track to the campsite, when we were plea...santly surprised by Jock and his team of workers from the NSW Fire and Rescue Service. They had travelled all the way from Sydney to assist with the post disaster recovery in the Whitsunday area. They did say that one of the officers was from Newcastle but they didn't like to talk about that:) Jock's crew had been tasked to check on residents and premises in the Glen Isla area and we were apparently the last one on their list. Even though we tried to decline, suggesting that others may be in more need of help, they insisted on helping us remove the debris from our road before moving on. We want to sincerely thank Jock and his crew for the assistance that they gave not only to us, but also to the many other residents and businesses in the area. Thank you also to the hundreds of other tireless emergency workers, both local and from all over Australia, who assembled to help Proserpine and the Whitsundays get back on its feet. We are extremely grateful for their willingness to help others in times of need.

25.01.2022 Guests will no longer get to enjoy this on our tour. This photo of Fatguts and his girlfriend Ginger was taken by me on tour last year. Fatguts the crocodile was removed by the government on 18th January 2019.

24.01.2022 Check us out on Channel 9 at 5:30pm, Saturday 3rd August. We're going to Getaway with Charlie from Hi-5.

23.01.2022 Following decisions from the Australian Government, and due to the impact of the COVID-19 virus on tourism in Australia, Whitsunday Crocodile Safari has suspended all operations until further notice. If you have an existing booking, please contact us at [email protected] and we will respond as soon as we can. We thank you for your patience and understanding as we work through these challenging times.

22.01.2022 We're on again. Saturday 25th August at 5:30pm on Channel 7's QLD Weekender. Check us out.

18.01.2022 We are delighted to announce that Whitsunday Crocodile Safari will commence operations from 28th June 2020 and we are currently accepting bookings. The safety and well-being of our guests and colleagues is top priority, and we have implemented heightened hygiene procedures and protocols, as well as social distancing measures, in line with government and public health advice. If you want to be amazed and experience the "Wild Side" of the Whitsundays, call our booking hotline o...n 0749483310. Our website booking facility is not currently available. Dorothy the croc has been missing you :)

17.01.2022 Guests touring on 15th August watching "Lefty" slide into Proserpine River. Check out his left front leg as he turns. His hand has been ripped of by another croc a few years ago. They are fairly resilient critters.

14.01.2022 I am getting sick and tired of these idiots who keep baiting crocs on Proserpine River. We keep reporting it to the authorities but as usual, nothing ever seems to happen. Yet again, Fatguts has a rope hanging out of his mouth after these tools baited him at the public landing on Glen Isla Road. This is about the 4th time in the last 12 months we have seen him in this potentially life threatening situation. 15 metres or more of rope (usually stolen from Telstra) trailing out ...of a croc's mouth has the potential to snag and drown the animal. It also affects their ability to submerge for long periods due to this rope obstruction preventing their palatal valve on their tongue from sealing properly. The last time, he somehow managed to rip the baited rope out of his mouth after it did snag on a tree. My staff found the remains of a wallaby and plastic bag packed with rotten bait attached to the rope. This photo was taken on Wednesday (again from my phone) and you can see the rope laying across his neck and over his front leg. One day, one of these jerks are going to come unstuck. We have witnesses and rego numbers for several incidents already so the perpetrators should watch out and wait nervously!

12.01.2022 Well it has only taken 17 years, but the new website is up and running. See what you think at http://www.crocodilesafari.com.au

11.01.2022 A big thank you to all of our page followers who helped us achieve 1000 likes. We really appreciate your support.

11.01.2022 Well it's that time of the year again. We have seen the first of our baby crocs hatching in the Proserpine River for 2018. Our guests were delighted to watch Gloria and her brand new arrivals on Sunday 13 March. The very next day, an unnamed female, who has nested way down stream, was tending to her little ones as well. These babies hatched on Monday. This photo is from my phone so not very good. I will endeavour to take the EOS out next time and post some better photos soon.

10.01.2022 Check us out on the recent edition of Channel 7 Weekender. Our segment follows Whitsunday Gold's piece https://7weekender.com/exploring-the-whitsunday-region/

03.01.2022 We are halfway through August already and Ruby the crocodile is still in "mummy mode". She was out working on her suntan with some of her babies (look just below her head) and it is 4 months since they hatched. She sure does have an amazing maternal instinct compared to some of the other females in Proserpine River. As you can see, she doesn't think we are a threat to her little ones either. We are quite privileged to be able to provide our guests this unique experience, checking out mum and the kids on Proserpine River.

02.01.2022 If you have nothing to do on Saturday 5 August at about 5:00pm, you can catch up with us on Channel 7's Creek to Coast. Scottie and the gang dropped in to see us on their way north to Townsville, to see what was on offer in our neck of the woods in the Whitsundays. He was joined by Nathan Earsman and Alicia Blythe from Market Direct Campers, as they put some of their products through their paces.... Everyone seemed to be very impressed with the locals on show on Proserpine River. Check it out.
