24.01.2022 Whitsunday Moorings is currently looking for the following: 1x ADAS L2 Supervisor or above. 4 x ADAS L2 Diver or above. 2 x Coded ADAS Welders Capable of producing a Class B weld in challenging conditions. (Onshore dirty water) Supervisor and L2 Divers must be available from 16th November to 11th December.... 20.01.2022 Whitsunday Moorings is proud to be a part of protecting this wonderful place, in 2013 WMMC was awarded the contract to undertake the placement of the Helix/Seaflex Mooring System to protect the reef from anchor damage. Due to the sensitivity of the environment and the importance to the Green Sea Turtles, WMMC undertook this work at significantly below cost. This may be the environment within which we derive a paycheque, but it is also our lives and our passion.

15.01.2022 Over 150 people on Horseshoe Bay, Bowen, Queensland watching the commercial divers start the installation of Bywa. Lots of questions about underwater art, reef ...restoration, Humpback whales, brown sharks (a Wobbegong) and algae (sea sawdust of Tricodesmium). This video was made by the Whitsunday Lo...cal Marine Advisory Committee (LMAC), with the help of Cannonvale State school students Annabelle and Jahla. Please help to spread the word by sharing this video. We hope that they will raise awareness amongst boaties about slowing down close to shore and keeping a lookout for marine life. This year, Tropical Cyclone Debbie has had a serious impact on our inshore marine habitats, especially the shallow habitats close to shore that turtles and dugongs depend upon for food.
