23.01.2022 Whitsunday Athletics Club is still seeking expressions of interest for 2021 coaches or people wanting to learn to be coaches. We also require volunteers to assist our coaches in the younger age groups. We are also on the lookout for committee members for our 2021 season as at current all our coaches are committee members and the workload is a lot. Please email the club or inbox us with your interest. 19.01.2022 Hi everyone, We would just like to let everyone know that the committee are in discussions with ANQ and Queensland Athletics in regards to our 2020 season. At this stage we will not be running any athletics in term 2. Due to the guidelines that the government has put in place we will need time to plan and evaluate to help us work out what our best course of action is for everyone involved. 17.01.2022 Whitsunday Athletics Club wishes to advise that we will be postponing our season till the start of term 2 due to COVID19. We hope that things will have improved during this time and that we can start Week 1 Term 2. However, the committee will re-evaluate this during the school holidays and advise everyone about our decision. We appreciate your understanding during this tough time. Failure to get these positions filled will result in no training available at Cannonvale this year or no season at all. Please consider being part of this club. President... Members will soon be receiving the Mackay Athletics Club reference handbooks, one for track and one for field. The handbooks are designed to be a helpful guide for volunteers who help with the running of events at club days. Why not test your knowledge with our first official's quiz based on throws? If you are using FairPlay vouchers can you please bring them with you and hand into one of our lovely ladies at the information desk.
