At 28 Tucker Road, Riordanvale SOON TO BE LAUNCHED Varicose Myrtle Body Oil As you may have read in previous posts, at Whitsunday Myrtle we infuse our herbs to create a base oil for our products. This allows us to develop a product full of benefits and value. Zoom into the photo and you will see Horse Chestnut and Witch Hazel in a bowl, and I, like perhaps many other herbalists like to taste the herbs I work with, it gives me an appreciation and understanding of the work these plants are called to do. I can assure you Horse chestnut is far more bitter than wormwood or mugwort !!!!! Horse chestnut is a vascular tonic and known as an amazing herb for varicosities. It contains aescin (a saponin) which inhibits the lysosomal enzymes which are thought to weaken the walls of veins and make them leaky. Witch hazel on the other hand is an astringent and therefore tones the veins. Other oils included in this mix is Comfrey, Lemon Myrtle, Rosemary, Cypress, Lemongrass and Lavender. 07.01.2022 Starting the day with Rose Geranium Myrtle Guest Bars ... then onto the most bought soap during Christmas GRAPEFRUIT MYRTLE BODY BAR ... Goats Milk Soap scented with Grapefruit Essential Oil is made a few days prior to Dave grating the soap as seen below. Grating the soap creates a grated cheese look in the gel part of the first layer. This gives it its appealing look when viewed on the bottom and top of the soap. ... Now the layers go on and the bonding between the layers is timed. If any layer is poured to hot it breaks the seal of the layer below and the symmetrical straight lines as you can see in the completed log would not be straight. Our two most time consuming and intricate soaps to make is the Lemon Myrtle and the Grapefruit Myrtle. Hope you folks enjoy using them as much as we enjoy making them In the background is a batch of Magnesium Myrtle Body Bars.
