25.01.2022 Thank you to the winning entrants in the Whitsunday Voices Youth Literature Festival's Short Story Competition. We are still waiting on some information and illustrations from some of the students. This has delayed the publishing of the Anthology. We are hoping to finalise everything soon, however it looks like we will be unable to have the Anthology printed by the end of term. We hope to present the Short Story Anthology to the winning Authors in February next year and will be in touch with the winning Authors to confirm. We are sorry for any inconvenience this has caused and thank you for your patience.

17.01.2022 Great News! The 2020 Whitsunday Voices Short Story Competition WILL be going ahead this year.... We have extended the closing date to 19 June 2020.... Students are encouraged to use the Whitsunday Voices Short Story writing competition extension date as an opportunity to respond to the current global pandemic. Student ‘slice of life’ writing could focus on a personal story and explore the emotions behind an example of their own life in lockdown experience. A student writer could ‘walk in the shoes of another’ using information from the daily news as stimulus for their own creative short story response. For more information and to find your application form please follow this link - https://www.whitsundayvoices.com.au/short-story-competition We look forward to receiving your entry
