25.01.2022 Hoping everyone has managed to stay afloat after another intense week, and everyone continues to stay safe this weekend. With everything that’s going on in the world, if nothing else, just send lots of love out there!

24.01.2022 Please enjoy this amazing #Repost from my good friend and colleague @iamelisefuller I couldn’t have said it better myself!! Not getting better? Feel like your body is falling apart? There is a phenomenon that happens right before Christmas. As we know, there’s a huge lead up to Christmas. Workplaces are expecting projects to be completed before the break (because apparently the world doesn’t continue as normal in the new year ), and everyone is stressed and under pre...ssure. Right now, you may be feeling like everything is broken, and everything hurts, and you’re not getting better. Or perhaps you’ve just injured yourself for no apparent reason. The atmosphere right now has the feel of the week before Christmas. We’ve been in this iso game for a bit now, and it’s getting old. We’re fatigued. We’re stressed. And a fatigued and stressed body is more susceptible to pain and injury. Unlike Christmas time, it’s hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel right now. So remember to be kind to yourselves during this time. We’re always around for when you need us See more

20.01.2022 Further updates and clarification to come tomorrow. This information is directly from the DHHS (Department of Health and Human Services) website, in relation to the 5km distance restriction. "These distance, gathering and time limits won't apply for work, medical care or compassionate reasons"... At this stage we are unsure if osteopathy will be allowed to continue, much like all businesses we are waiting for confirmation tomorrow. If you have a booking, I will confirm with you directly either way, however at this stage I can assure you that it I am allowed to continue, I will continue to treat whilst maintaining strict safety protocols and an increased screening process. 17.01.2022 There are many mixed messages being sent out by various allied health businesses, please be assured these restrictions apply to ALL allied health practices, not just us, and a failure to comply can result in fines for both the practices and the patients if later clinic audits show restrictions were not complied with. Good news first YES - I am allowed to and WILL BE be staying open for treatment.... YES- you can attend without a referral from a GP YES - You can travel more than 5km to attend a healthcare appointments Bad news second Routine treatment is NOT permitted. Maintenance treatment is NOT permitted. So, unless you feel that the absence or delay of osteopathic care would: result in a significant change/deterioration in your condition impact on your ability to complete activities of daily living prevent you from going to work or completing work duties result in you escalating care to a GP or ER... I will see you I’m 6 weeks... (but we can absolutely discuss your specific situation and make a plan) full update in bio

16.01.2022 With today’s new announcement, I’m pleased to say that this time around, I will be continuing to practice through stage 3 lockdown restrictions. Please note that there will be some increased precautions on top of the already stringent protocols being implemented, but for now, it’s business as usual Any queries or questions, please do not hesitate to contact me here, or text me at 0421 231 710

12.01.2022 Pillows and Neck Pain I regularly get asked for my opinion on pillows, mattresses and sleeping, and I’m not going to lie it doesn’t really spark joy in me my opinion may be controversial, but as a long time headache sufferer, I believe that there’s no such thing as a perfect pillow, and just because you spent big dollars doesn’t mean it’ll solve your problems. This patient took the initiative and brought his pillow in for us to have a look at, as he wasn’t sure if he... should buy a new one or if it could explain his neck soreness. He is a side sleeper, but he speaks of wry neck with way too much familiarity no team, you shouldn’t be that okay with a regularly wry neck Photo 1: before treatment, right side. No big dramas for me - happy days. Photo 2: Before treatment, left side. The stiff and sore side - no surprises though, am I right?? Findings of a restricted rib 1, tight scalenes, lev scap and an upper cross dysfunction. VERY different. He also prefers to sleep on this side. Photo 3: 30 minutes later after treatment... this is where it’s interesting - where he was questioning if he should get a new pillow, by treating effectively through the area, his neck clearly looks better in the pillow so I’ll keep you posted on how he’s sleeping, but honestly, sometimes you just need a good treatment before you waste money on more pillows!! Everyone’s pillow preference will differ - me, I love a latex pillow, but there are so many choices out there! @ Eltham, Victoria, Australia See more

11.01.2022 The Rule of the Artery is Supreme - When blood and lymphatics flow freely, the tissues can perform their physiologic functions without impedance. With the occurrence of trauma (physical or emotional), the tissues contract, twist, and compress. The fluid flow becomes obstructed. Dr. Andrew Taylor Still. According to A.T Still, the founder of Osteopathy, unimpeded arterial supply is indispensable for maintaining good health. The circulatory system (blood and lymph) is dis...tributed throughout the entire body. These systems promote "cleaning" the cells' ability to regenerate themselves, release their waste, and preserve the proper functioning of the systems. Blood flow is highly important for the overall health of the body. The tissues that get the best blood flow are the healthiest. The importance of circulation of good blood in both the preservation of health AND in recovery after injury has been a key tenet of osteopathy since its conception. Osteopathic treatment aims to restore freedom in the tissues, enhance fluid flow and optimise the bodies inherent physiologic functions to allow healing. How cool is this image of the vascular system??! See more
