25.01.2022 We often get asked what resources we recommend to support right-brain learners. ‘The Bears’ from St Luke’s Innovative Resources are a great visual tool for helping children identify, talk about and reflect on their feelings. You can read more about the other wonderful resources we use throughout our program via the link in our bio. Gingerhouse Photography

25.01.2022 "Growing up, I found school challenging. Spelling was my biggest challenge. However, through years of hard work, persistence, trial and error and learning from Right-brain Learners themselves, I brought the WholeBrain Learning Program to life. Now, my passion lies in teaching and empowering Right-brain students to discover their own unique learning style, just like I did." - Denise, Founder of WholeBrain Bendigo. ... 24.01.2022 To our WholeBrain friends, family and followers; it has certainly been an unexpected start to 2020. We have currently placed our program on hold, as we navigate the current Covid-19 restrictions. In light of this, we have decided to withhold taking on any NEW students for 2020. While we won’t be accepting new enrolments this year, this time has given us the opportunity to start bringing to life some exciting new projects. In time, these projects will help us support even mor...e right-brain learners across Australia and beyond. We would love for you to continue following our journey through our Instagram, Facebook or email database, and look forward to sharing some exciting updates with you soon. Thank you for your ongoing support and encouragement, we love and appreciate our incredible WholeBrain community very much.

23.01.2022 Right-brain learners are incredible at viewing the world in a completely different way. You don't have to excel at spelling, reading or writing to achieve great things. There is a lot to be said for creativity and imagination.

22.01.2022 Although our students may find learning challenging at times, they are constantly teaching US new ways to learn and view the world around us. Intelligence is not purely defined by one’s ability to spell, read or write.

22.01.2022 What's that saying? Never work with children and animals? We wouldn't have it any other way. @gingerhousephotography

21.01.2022 Wherever and however your child learns best, we are here to support them. Yep even if that means teaching in a tree! Gingerhouse Photography

18.01.2022 Purposeful learning is a term we use a lot at WholeBrain. When a topic or word that we are teaching to a student is linked to their personal interests or experiences, it becomes much more memorable. If they grew up on a farm and love farm animals, we can transform certain letters to resemble a cow or use them to create a story about a tractor. ... What interests do your children have and how can you incorporate them into their learning? Gingerhouse Photography

18.01.2022 You don't have to navigate your child's learning journey alone. We host regular Information Sessions for parents, carers and educators to help them better understand and support the Right-Brain Learners in their lives. Head to the link below to sign up to our email updates and you'll be the first to know about our upcoming sessions! http://bit.ly/2JEocpj

10.01.2022 Using pictures is one of the strategies our students use to remember how to spell, read and write words they find challenging. By making a word more visual and meaningful, it becomes much more memorable. Gingerhouse Photography

09.01.2022 Learning environments are not limited to classrooms. Learning outside on the trampoline, in the garden or by dam can increase calm and invite creativity and imagination. Gingerhouse Photography

08.01.2022 We make learning fun! Here are some of the strategies that have helped our students remember to use the combination of "ir" instead of "er" or ur. These letter combinations sound the same, so they can often be confused with each other. In this example, the dot of the 'i' becomes part of the image in the background; a dot on the shirt and the eye of the bird. By making learning purposeful, interesting or visual, our students are able to commit the correct spelling of challenging words to their long term memory. @ Bendigo, Victoria

07.01.2022 A child's social and emotional well-being can suffer when they lack confidence in their learning ability. It can cause them to withdraw in the classroom and social situations because they feel embarrassed or 'dumb'. This is why we include a number of activities in our program that help to build our students self-esteem. It's important that they know they are intelligent and very capable learners.

07.01.2022 We enrol six students per program. By keeping our program intakes small, we are able to ensure every student gets the support they deserve.

06.01.2022 Have you ever had that overwhelming feeling of being put on the spot? Your mind goes blank, you feel your face heating up and your heart starts to race. This is a common occurrence for Right-brain Learners when they don't have enough time to answer a question or complete their work in the classroom. Our teaching style allows our students time to think, process, re-read and ask questions. And if they still aren't sure of the answer, we take a little break! Gingerhouse Photography

05.01.2022 Sometimes what makes you different is your superpower.

05.01.2022 Yes! Self-esteem is a large focus in our program. We use a number of fun activities and teaching techniques that help our students rebuild their confidence. You can read more about our teaching style via the link below. https://bit.ly/2AllByS

01.01.2022 You better believe our students remember how to spell the word Saturday! By linking the letter combination ‘ur’ to a picture, it becomes more memorable. It is also less likely to be confused with letter combinations that sound the same (‘ir’ and ‘er’). Whatever works, right?
