25.01.2022 Today I farewell my dodgy oven It has no light, takes almost as long to heat up as it does to cook the food and, in most recent developments, the door that didnt shut properly now just falls off. Making it harder to continue to hobble along using it until #kitchenremodel time arrives. Because my dream oven (the @agaaustralia Falcon Classic 110cm - be still my beating heart) has to wait a while, I just got a super basic new oven as a replacement. And while Im excited to be getting an oven with a working door (how novel!), I will miss this dodgy one - which due to its dodginess made THE best cinnamon scrolls and roast potatoes known to mankind. #grateful #ovens #aga #falcon #cinnamonscrolls #roastpotatoes #firstworldproblems

16.01.2022 Late night baking done - Byron Bay Chocolate Chip cookies thanks to RecipeTin, converted to Thermomix. Skipped the refrigeration step (aint nobody got time for that) and instead baked using my rose gold muffin trays from Thermomix in Australia - the yoghurt jar makes the perfect squasher!!!!
16.01.2022 Tonights dinner is a classic fakeaway - Nasi Goreng. This is one of my fave comfort foods and almost always the first thing I order in room service whenever Im in Perth - The Rendezvous hotel does an excellent version!!! This recipe from Simply Delicious captures all the flavour of a fab nasi goreng, but is much healthier and easily bulked out with extra veg.

Tonight was a Brown Butter and Apple tart (family size version) thanks to Reece Hignell - think crisp golden pastry with golden apple sweetness and brown buttery deliciousness all in one bite! Super easy to convert to the Thermomix, meaning it was super quick to prepare as well!
